After four weeks two of my four items are not ready for pickup. The owner has assured me that they will be ready soon.

bought a porcelain teapot which looked like an antique just to find out it is a reproduction (it is stated on the bottom of the teapot that it is a reproduction). they never stated it is an antique in the description but the fact that they did not picture the bottom where it is written that it is a reproduction and they did not state in the description of the lot that it is a reproduction shows that they are sketchy and aim to mislead the buyer that this is an antique. well they got a sale but lost a buyer wouldn't buy from them again.

Paid more than the item for shipping and then received the worst shipping service imaginable. Took three weeks to ship. The tracking was never updated, this is probably because their shipper chose the cheapest and most unreliable shipping option, UPS Gound Saver, to ship art with glass. When it arrived, sandwiched in between to flattened boxes, with one layer of bubble leaving the corners of the frame exposed, and a single piece of loose tape along the edges, I was shocked. For the price I paid for shipping of $118, this should have been sent UPS Ground in an acutal box with corner pieces to protect the frame. Instead they chose the cheapest cost shipping which only cost them $34.25. The most unprofessional auction house ever. Communications from Artinstall seemed dodgy throughout the process. This experience has turned me off from LiveAuctioneers forever. Still waiting for the shipping cost refund from them that they agreed to...

This auction co. is somewhat misleading.

Painting paint peeling off in strips, mud-caked frame, none of which is represented in the photos. The actual size of the framed painting was two times bigger than the listed size. When contacted, Artingstall Auctioneers 1874 Auction House responded that the listed size did not mean to represent the overall size, and because they had already paid the seller of the painting, it's a done deal. Never again for me.

Shipping was very professional, best packing job I've seen.

The quality if this painting was misrepresented by the auctioneer. It had several reverso patches, besides the 2 visible surface blemishes and even the frame of it was in very very bad condition. Buyer beware I guess! Dishonest auction house in my opinion.

They are asking more than $40 to ship a photo, when I offered to use my FedEx account and they asked $20 just for the packing. This is crazy and gave me cold feet which is why I still did not get around it until this review request. Also I did not hear from them even since.

Great auctions, fantastic customer service and fast shipping to Canada. Sometimes items come in a few days at reasonable in-house shipping prices.

I was extremely surprised from the super professional service and kind attitude of the auction house! Their work was fast, their email answers were prompt and kind! Absolute professionals! The paintings were shipped during a busy Christmas time and arrived to other continent faster than other shippings that I was expecting from Europe! Many, many sincere recommendations!

The painting is beautiful. It was well packed and arrived very quickly. The frame was in very poor condition and upon review of the photos the damage was shown. It was not mentioned in the description. All in all, I was pleased with my purchase.

I have bought from this auction house few times by now. All the services are professional and the staffs are very courteous and responsive. I asked for a lot of condition reports and additional photos of the items prior to bidding and I always receive the requested information very quickly, within a day or two. Also, I really love the fact that they have their own in-house shipping which saves me a lot of time. I do feel the shipping fee is more expensive than I expected, but the packing is very good and professional, all of my items arrived perfectly, so it's absolutely justifiable with me. I also love that they always have different variety of items for sale, so I will definitely bid and buy from them again for sure.

Be cautious about shipping, the shipping charges can easily double your purchase.
