The collection reflects the music sessions and legendary gatherings that shaped his world and left a lasting impact on American popular culture. Live online bidding begins at 9 a.m. PDT. Over a career spanning more than five decades, Perry worked with artists including Carly Simon, Harry Nilsson, Rod Stewart, Ringo Starr, Barbra Streisand, Diana Ross, Art Garfunkel, and the Pointer Sisters. He was behind enduring hits such as ?You?re So Vain,? ?Without You,? and ?I?m So Excited.? A one-time drummer, oboist, and doo-wop singer, Perry moved effortlessly across genres, bringing a polished musical instinct to every project. Highlights include producing Ringo Starr?s 1973 Ringo album, featuring contributions from all four Beatles, and helping guide Rod Stewart?s Great American Songbook series. Auction highlights include a jukebox from Perry?s famed gatherings, a guitar played by Bob Dylan, George Harrison, and Mick Jagger, a piano played by Elton John and Herbie Hancock, and bongo drums associated with Ringo Starr. Also included is a bronze sculpture believed to have been gifted by Elizabeth Taylor. Length of time to ship
The auction house was great. My only concern was I received an email from LiveAuctioneers that my items would be received within 7 days but after contacting LiveAuctioneers support 9 days after pickup of the items I was informed it would be 2 or 3 weeks. No fault of Abell.
