They were extremely helpful in helping me to arrange shipping on this most precious sculpture that I purchased from the auction house. I would do business with this auction house anytime again and I’m grateful for all the care that they provided.

The auction house was great. My only concern was I received an email from LiveAuctioneers that my items would be received within 7 days but after contacting LiveAuctioneers support 9 days after pickup of the items I was informed it would be 2 or 3 weeks. No fault of Abell.

Excellent experience

It can be confusing dealing with this auction house. In the item description, it states, “Abell offers in-house shipping on select items,” which suggests that shipping may be available. However, after navigating their website (which is not easy to locate), you find a separate statement that reads: “Abell Auction Company does not ship or pack any items sold or offered at auction, no exceptions.” The messaging feels inconsistent and creates unnecessary confusion for bidders. One can’t help but wonder whether the initial shipping language is intended to encourage bidding, when in reality buyers are left to independently arrange packing and transport. I purchased a piece on December 10 and am still working to resolve the shipping process. Greater transparency and clearer communication upfront would significantly improve the buyer experience.

I had a very good experience bidding with Abell Auction through LiveAuctioneers. The listings were clear, condition descriptions were accurate. and the overall process was smooth and professional. Communication was responsive, and payment and pickup/shipping instructions were well organized.

I wish the decription was a bit more honest. I likely would've still bid/purchased it but would've had a plan to repair it once received. Again, very well packed for shipping. Super happy with that part of the order. Wish ther was more honesty/transparency.
