Everything went smoothly-the auction itself and all communications. I requested shipping via Kings. The painting was wrapped securely. I would use Kings Auction House again.

Poor condition report
Not only was the condition report very basic it missed a 16.5 "tear in the canvas.

The art canvas is very old large and heavy and the canvas is not torn but seems to have separated from the frame a few inches at the top during shipping from USA to England. We use 3rd party shipping as that is made very clear in our TnC. After researching the shipping process on this piece it sounds like the shipper did everything to protocol and built a crate to insure safety unfortunate but definitely not from lack of care or lack of professionalism. Stretch the canvas to refit the frame simple fix and had you contacted Kings before accusations of neglect we could have assisted.

Good day, We ship hundreds of items per month since 2012. Our policy and invoice requests all shipping questions to be sent via EMAIL ONLY. Can you imagine answering hundreds of calls regarding shipping questions? Its a simple request to email and get an immediate response. Thank you

They will not respond to your messages/calls
Don't respond to emails/calls, they will drop your stuff off at a random shipper without giving talking to you.

Please read King’s Auctions policies before bidding. When you send a courier on NYE to pick up an item one day after close of auction and you have not even paid well we all understand the client we will now be dealing with.

never got the items even though I told them many times via email
I asked them NOT to ship via UPS because the price was the double of the value. I asked them to use express postal service but I never had a trackin number from them neither the items

The item was sent USPS per YOUR REQUEST, You travel overseas and are near impossible to contact from location to location, your item was sent to you, try checking the location you have had shipping send to months ago. Very ridiculous to shop and expect shippers to find you internationally, we literally had to chase you for delivery details. We can not control USPS we informed you of this, Kings even paid extra out of pocket since you were unreachable.

To ship your items from King's Auctions (when items are in Austin, TX), make sure you use: Parcel Plus 10900 Research Blvd 160C Austin, TX 78 ********** They are THE BEST packers/shippers for really fragile items and charges for their services are SO REASONABLE!!

One guitar is unplayable, listed as "New".
One of the guitars (the Vintage VC-100) is unplayable. Bigtime fret/nut problems. During the Auction "This is a new guitar" was posted. Don't you have someone actually go over the instrument first? This one would have been sent for work or not listed for sale. I will need to put a couple of hundred dollars into it to make it playable, which added to the price I paid for it, is not what I would have paid in any situation. Really, this guitar should have been checked first, and if it was, that person should never check a guitar again.

Our photographer takes detailed pics, front and back, and close ups, front and back. For you to imply that we were trying to hide anything is just false. You bought a rare, approximately 60 year old vintage guitar in good condition for a third of the cost it would be anywhere else and you’re complaining about it. The LiveA shipping option has nothing to do with us. We do not profit a penny on shipping and go out of our way to deliver to The UPS Store and also offer in person pickup, all to help our clients save money. That’s listed in the terms and conditions and you didn’t choose either of those options. You chose the LiveA shipping option and if you’re not happy about it, your complaints should be directed towards them. King’s Auctions will also investigate any inquiry regarding customer satisfaction with the goal of solving any unseen issues. When a customer goes straight to reviews without any form of prior communication regarding their concerns, it becomes impossible to assist.

Poor communication
These folks do not respond to post-purchase emails regarding shipping/location of items. Each of my two purchases were located in different cities and I never heard as to which shipper in which city I was to contact. Finally the shipper contacted me annoyed by my not getting in contact with them.

Disastrous Experience with King's Auction
I regret to inform that my experience with King's Auction has been nothing short of a nightmare. I successfully won an item on 10 Dec 2023, and was assured by King's Auction that once my item had cleared their process, they would deliver it to their local UPS and contact me to confirm its drop-off. From there, I was under the impression that I would coordinate directly with UPS for shipping instructions and payment. However, what followed was a frustrating saga of over a month filled with empty promises and lack of accountability. Despite my repeated attempts to reach out to UPS, they consistently informed me that they had not received my item from King's Auction. When I sought assistance from King's Auction for tracking and verification, they were unresponsive and unhelpful, failing to provide evidence of the supposed drop-off. The communication I did receive from King's Auction was unconstructive and dismissive. They dodged responsibility by repeatedly telling me to contact UPS and insisting that it was my duty to make shipping arrangements, as if the item had already been dropped off with UPS. Yet, UPS themselves told me they hadn't received any items from King's Auction for months. Trying to contact UPS became a daunting task due to their unavailability over the phone. And on the rare occasions when I did get through, they confirmed that they had no record of receiving my item. This has left me in an extremely helpless position, with no resolution in sight. King's Auction has been utterly unresponsive and has not provided any meaningful updates or assistance since I made the payment. Their lack of transparency and accountability has led to a terrible and incredibly stressful experience. I strongly advise against using their services, as they have shown a complete disregard for customer satisfaction and responsibility.

Atrocious Shipping and Fees
So I had a multitude of issues with King's Auctions. When checking out they don't provide any options for shipping/pick up but one so youre kind of in the dark about even more fees. On top of that, I told them which location it would be shipping out they said they dropped it off but nope the Post Office had no record of it. I called and texted through their number and over the site no response for a few days. When I finally get a response they forward me to the manager who at this point is on vacation but and was told it was forgotten and would ship it after the holidays. When I reached out again they once again forward me to the manager, which I don't get how no one else is able to help with customers 'issues or drop it off at the post office? On top of that, they don't even package it I had to pay for shipping and the packaging. No apologies for the inconvenience no nothing. Item showed up in almost a ball of bubble wrap stuffed in a box and not as pristine as some of the pictures showed. So overall not a great experience and whatever you order or win just remember to add an extra 40 dollars on top of it. So I received my items after just about 4 weeks of waiting. I ain't bidding on another item through King's again better off bidding on Ebay than this mess.

There is issue with shipping
First of all, I sent many questions. But, reply was very late. Also they sent item to not confirmed UPS store. Originally assigned UPS store never received and other UPS store received. It shipping rate and service rate is extreamly expensive. It is bit bigger item I know that normally it cost around 200-250 with ground shipment from east coast. They are in Las Vegas. I am in San Diego. They asked 500 for packing and service. Rate was very very high. Also shipping speed from Auction house to UPS store was very slow. It took more than 2 weeks needed. Item was nice but service cost was way high.

Fantastic experience, an auctioneer with scruples!
Post sale, they called me to discuss an item that THEY identified as possibly not being in as good condition as they felt the pictures showed. In all honesty, the pictures DID represent the item fine, but they ended up removing the item from my account. Honesty is a wonderful thing, trust these guys!
