Hess fine auctions is great and will return any messages sent. If you can directly pick up your winnings that would be best I guess. I had Hess ship a small watch to me and it cost $129.00. Florida to Massachusetts FedEx 3 day that took a week. $129.00 eeeks!

Easy fair transaction

Expensive shipping and fees. I am OK with the 23 % premiums but shipping was overly expensive and by the time the piece arrived the final cost was 2.3 x the hammer price! Have to factor in a 2x cost on any bidding in this price range. For more expensive items I am sure this cost as a percentage drops but at this price point one should be prepared to pay double the hammer costs.

Shipping was faster than expected. I think the shipping cost were a little high but who knows. Everything cost more today than last week. The item was in perfect condition and just as described. I highly recommend this auction house as they have outstanding quality items for auction. I am a repeat customer. Thanks.

The item turned out to be fake. It is not antique, main parts of the sword (blade, tsuba, and some other parts) turned out to be relatively newly made. The item is worthless.
