I bought a chandelier that the pictures looked like it was gilt. The description did not say it was. When I purchased the piece I was then informed it would need to be shipped from Argentina Fed Ex, NOT Florida. Fortunately it did not cost very much to ship the wood crate. When I received it the packers did use foam inside the crate, however the arms were digging a hole into the foam even though they were bubble wrapped. The piece arrived unscathed. It is obvious that the gold was painted on because I can see paint brush strokes that are not visible when hung. Whether its real gold paint or fake I don't know and I was not told. I suspect 3 of the shades were replaced because of the slight blue tinge in the glass, one has no blue hue. When hung everything works fine. I would have appreciated a more accurate description before the auction of the gold paint and replacement shades. It is a unique piece not easy to find so I a very happy with it. Also, make sure where the piece is located. If importing there is a fee which shouldn't have because its an antique, which he did pay promptly.

Our purchase was a perfect example of the artists body of work. Communication was incredible — asked for addition pictures and they complied. Helped us understand the the entirety of the sculpture. Shipping was impeccable assuring safety and preventative measures to deter damage. Shipment came on time and delivered to an alternative address.
