Ravenswick is an Auction House with a difference. We specialise in house contents sales, single owner collections. For the past 25 years Alex Renwick has been associated with the auction business, and was trained in the old fashioned way. He feels passionately that this is an honourable profession. Transparency is required at all times, combining this with integrity and ethics that sums up the Ravenswick experience. Ravenswick is the creation of Alex Renwick. Ravenswick is his original historic family name, so it is extremely personal. During this time he has worked with some of the best Australian auctioneers and valuers. Having worked his way up from a storeman in the 1980’s to running a decorative arts department by the age of 25. To expose him to all aspects of the business, during his training he also worked in commercial and industrial auctioneering and valuation, selling coal mines, forklifts and farm equipment. However, Fine and Decorative Arts was and continues to be his passion. This business is unique as we are operating an auction house with no formal rooms, a satellite or pop-up auction house. Specialising in estate and house contents auction sales, from time to time Ravenswick will be entrusted with an estate which has no outlet for sale, and will rent a local hall or specially selected space and have the sale in that location. We have a specialist team of like-minded individuals who are likewise passionate and driven to provide the best service and product.
