Could not be happier!!!

Estate of Mind fraudulently accepted payment for a lot of two items I purchased. They claimed they were hacked and their phone number was changed on their LiveAuctioneers home page. LiveAuctioneers confirmed to me that this was entirely on the auction house. Following the phone number the auction house posted on their own home page, I paid them. Estate of Mind then claimed they did not receive the payment and claimed this was fraudulent. When presented with all of the information, including communication with representatives of their auction house, PayPal details, and LiveAuctioneers communication indicating that this was the auction house's fault, the owner was unbelievably rude and dismissive. To quote him exactly, "You lost $800. Big deal." Perhaps to him, that is not a big deal, but it was one of the most offensive conversations I've had as a multi-decade user of LiveAuctioneers and one of the most offensive interactions one can have when, as a buyer, when you're confronted very clearly with fraud from a seller. At this point, the only recourse is civil and criminal action since the resolution I offered to Estate of Mind was dismissed even though it was entirely fair to all parties. Following my interactions with the owner, anyone should think twice before buying anything from this auction house.

Unfortunately, I almost lost thousands of dollars because the Auction house got hacked. They did inform Liveauctioneers immediately, but by then I had been contacted by scammers who very nearly stole my money. If it was not for Visa and their automatic fraud prevention system, I would’ve lost thousands of dollars the lesson is no matter whether someone is on a large platform or not. You still have to be careful.

I bid on three lots through live auction. I won the first two lots. I stayed on line and waited several hour for the third lot to bid on. I was winning at $190 with my high bid of $400 submitted 2 days prior. At $200 estate of mind closed bidding and sold the lot to an in house bidder. I immediately called the auction house and spoke to one of then owners of the auction. They said that Live Auction did not bid up. I called live auction and they said that my $400 bid was submitted just like my first to lots that I won and Estate of Mind should not have closed the bidding at $200. Even though I immediately notified Estate of Mind auction house, they still sold the lot to the other in house bidder. Assume they sold the lot to a local frequent buyer. They said they would get back to me about my concerns, but no contact in over three weeks. If I was a seller of items, I certainly would not use an auction house that ignores higher bids or may be selling to friends at lower prices. Certainly would not want to work with a business that does not follow up with calls. I contacted Estate of mind three times and Live Auction at least 4 times. I have all my transactions and communications documented with screen shots that I sent to Live Auctioneers. They said they would follow up with Estate of Mind. Still waiting to hear from Live Auctioneers. As a note-shipping prices are extremely high. I have no problems with high shipping for fragile figurines, but the 10 figurines came wrapped with one layer of tissue paper and one layer of bubble wrap for each figure. Amazingly they all made it safely. At $270 for 10 figurines I would have expected individual boxes inside the bigger box.

They give you a list of shippers and I found Newburgh shippers were amazingly easy to work with.

I love this auction house, not as big as some of the heavily viewed houses, but can have items that are as rare as it gets. Nice people to work with, I’ve had multiple always positive experiences.
