Unlike many other auctioneers, Marques Dos Santos provides shipment service. This helps significantly, eliminating buyers having to scramble to find a cost effective shipping company after winning bids.

Auction Date: April 29, 2021. Items arrived: September 14, 2021. Antique dining table, chaise and carpet. Export paperwork and packing took several months and countless emails. The "crating" was a thin plywood box without the base support needed for a forklift, and just a thin layer of styrofoam on the bottom. It collapsed. The antique carpet was used as if it was bubble pack, so it was ripped to shreds. They made me hire a forklift even though I paid for residential delivery ($300), and the broken crate made it impossible to use. I had to hire people to unpack and remove the items from the truck in pieces. The dining table was described as "signs of use" but the surface is extensively water damaged. In summary, the worst case scenario at every turn.

Inaccurate condition description, deliberately concealing the line, and then contacting the auctione

I won a pair of fairly large Meissen porcelain figurines and needed to ship them internationally. The gallery arranged for that very quickly and they arrived only a few days later. The figurines have many fragile parts to them, but absolutely no breakage whatsoever. They packaged them very well for the trip. Thank you very much!

The description of the auction house it ` s completely wrong ITALIAN SCHOOL, 18th century-'St. Jerome' "Pencil on paper drawing, dated 'Mar. 4.80'. Dim.: 22x18cm." It ´ s a print from last quarter of 19th century.
