Black Rock was excellent to deal with. They were responsive to my question after the auction closed and provided outstanding customer service. I would not hesitate to bid with them again.

I bid on an item thru LiveAuctioneers and won the earrings. Black Rock informed me afterwards that had I bid through them directly they would have shipped the earrings to me. I used the recommended shipper from Black Rock. The earrings were sent to me in a larger than necessary box which cost more than the bid price I paid. Read shipping details very carefully before bidding! I will no longer bid on Black Rock Galleries items.

Photos lack detail and angles. Compared to other auction houses, the descriptions do not list complete information in a consistent manner. Difficult to determine the quality of a piece. Almost a month after the auction, I'm still missing one piece for which I paid. When I asked for a status update, I was finally sent a tracking number, only to find out the piece was just shipped. Of the eight pieces I have received so far, only three pieces were of the quality I associate with an auction item; the other five items are similar to those found at a garage sale. Finally, I purchased the items from BRG using the LiveAuctioneers app. They had to email the release for shipping to me, and I had to request the list of approved shipping sources three times before I received a poorly formatted list for multiple auction sites, not just the location from which I purchased; no in-house shipping. Too inconvenient to purchase and ship through when using the LA app, but you still pay all the fees without all the services offered by other auction houses. I'll spend my money elsewhere.

Extremely poor client service! Very rude manager who is not able even to control her voice and screamed all the time. The original painting is in The National Gallery of London. The auction intentionally ommitted this information to deceive the buyer. In the previous, bidding the auction misrepresented jewelry set stated as 21k solid gold while proffessional appraisals confirmed 18k gold. Very bad experience!!!
