everything is good

I picked up my items from the house where the auction took place. All of my lots were grouped together for efficient pickup. Excellent service.

Items received in a timely fashion and exactly as described.

The doll was placed in a box with very little wadded paper and only a small piece of used bubble wrap was around the doll loosely. The metal stand was left on the doll. One of the legs was broken on the doll. Obviously, Maki Shipping Service was not experienced in wrapping breakables or did not care what happened to the merchandise. I paid $1230 for the doll.

I usually avoid auction houses that do not have inhouse shipping as it always turns into an expensive frustrating mess. I was pleasantly surprised by the reasonable shipping and handling charges by Maki Auction & Shipping Services who Leonard's recommended to me. It was one of the most reasonable and efficient third party shippers I have ever dealt with. The descriptions and pictures were accurate and they take PayPal making it very easy for international buyers. All in all it was a very good experience and I would buy from them again.

Auction House did not care that item was broken and offered no help in resolving Would not even notify shipping Co. Items arrived in package that was crushed and flattened and them wrapped with tape to hold it together. Neither Leonards nor shipping company admitted any responsibility for the damage

I purchased 5 vintage battery operated toys. All were marked as working, "WORKS!!" to be more precise. 4 of the 5 do not work. I contacted Leonard's and they told me that all risk falls on the buyer. I said I understood that, but many of their other listings were not marked as "WORKS" which all five of my purchases were. One would then assume that these were tested and worked. They then blew me off and quit responding to my messages. A real classy operation. Nearly 300 auctions on Live Auctioneers and this is a first. Be careful and pay no attention to their descriptions. They are not accurate.

Third party shipping was ridiculous. I forfeited the items won due to shipping costs being five times what I paid for the dolls.

This auctioneer dropped my items off to a shipper who grossly over charged me for shipping after taking over two weeks to call me for payment. When I called the auctionhouse upset with my concern the owner took my concern as anger and proceeded to tell me that he wouldn't help me. Obviously I was upset that the shipper the auctionhouse used was 1 late, and 2 more expensive than any other shipper I've used. When I asked them to talk to them on my behalf he told me know and also bad mouthed the shipper he chose by saying they are messing everyone's orders up. I would have had some sympathy for the man had he even TRIED to assist me at first. Please note he did make lame attempts at saying he would pick the lot up and drop it somewhere else, but only after I had already gone through an argument with him. All in all, if I ever see a Leonard's listing again I will not be participating purely based on the fact that working with the auctionhouse is a NIGHTMARE. I've NEVER had such a bad experience with customer service alone through liveauctioneers until now.

Received item promptly. Downfall is when You add premium, packaging and shipping cost it really affect your total investment

Great auction house to do business with.

There was not much communication from the auction house. I had to email them twice about shipping after I sent the payment. Apparently they had a new shipper and a high number of online orders. The shipper was very nice and I got my item in a timely manner.

These are probably pretty good folks if you're going to the auction in person. If you buy online get ready to get ripped. I was charged $110.00 each for shipping on two lamps I bought. I asked them to send to Fedex or UPS but they have their own little shipper and it was either pay him or drive across three states to pick up my things. I will never use their service again.
