Complete and utter lack of reputability
Eddie's Auction listed the item I purchased as a "Japanese silver & mixed metals teapot". It very simply is just a silverplated Japanese teapot. I have messaged and emailed them and they won't bother to reply to me, even worse is that I'm a repeat buyer of theirs. I am not sure if their mischaracterization of the item is just a mistake, intentional deception or just ignorance but that they won't bother reply to me is quite telling. Avoid purchasing from Eddie's Auction unless you are 100 % certain of what you are bidding on, apparently you cannot rely on them for anything that requires even the smallest bit of expertise.

You are correct, "silver & mixed metals teapot" is not "Sterling," just as it is not "925" or "950," which terms we have not used. You are assuming the teapot is electroplate which we could not confirm since there are other methods of working with silver and mixed metals including what is now known as "Sheffield Silver" made with layered combinations of silver and copper without "electricity." No word has been said about this being a very elegant hand-made teapot which had many other bidders against you. You are still registering for Eddie's Auctions so you can't be all that convinced we are deceptive and ignorant.
