All went well as expected.

Clars has always been great but they lost one of my pieces two weeks ago and they have yet to let me know about it or refund me. I knew about this through my shipper and assumed Clars would reach out. Keep in mind that I had had well over 100 buying experiences with them that went perfectly well and I will use them again. I just think when you lose or think you have lost someones property you should notify them right away.

Silver jewelry not worth what I paid. Although it's pretty. The bracelet was way too small for my woman. Didn't fit at all. I waited for a very long time to get the items. I'll be much more careful on the next time of what I order. Claire's needs to be more responsive and respectful next time. I was just trying to get them shipped.

Received a great print that was exactly as described. Clars provided excellent shipping references. I selected from quotes provided by 4. I recommend buyers compare. All in all, great experience: easy auction, great item, good communication and smooth transaction.

Professional; fast; great packing and shipping

Clars seems like a nice upscale jeweler. Sadly the are the type that gives the jewelry industry a bad name. Manipulating images, deliberately omitting characteristics that would better inform a buyer in the interest of higher sales. They only have there interests and profit in mind. If you're okay with that type of seller, bid on. In my opinion there are better sellers on this platform who will respect you as a buyer and value a return client over an easy buck.

Would not hesitate to participate in another of their auctions.

Clars is great at attracting a wide assortment of consignments... something for everybody, and they manage very well at expediting everything.

I've purchased several items from Clars. They have such an eclectic mix of things and a lot of bargains. I gave them a demerit because I had emailed them about pick up and they never got back to me. But usually they are very responsive. I think the reason they didn't get back to me is because they are open during normal business hours for pick up. Which is great because other auction houses I've dealt with, you have to make an appointment.

My second time purchasing from Clars and again all went well. Used Jack London Mail to ship my paintings and would highly recommend them. Excellent responsiveness and quick and careful shipping. Approx $75.00 to ship 2 medium size paintings from the Bay area to Monterey.

I am currently in the midst of a 4 + month struggle with Clars Auction Gallery over the purchase of framed art that arrived damaged. After months of communications with LiveAuctioneers and Clars, it has become apparent that no one will take responsibility for the damaged shipment. Everyone was quite helpful and friendly until the art was "out the door"-then the attitude changed quite dramatically. Clars blames the shipper and myself-for not requesting a condition report prior to the shipment... as if a condition report on all items sold by Clars is the only method for ensuring the items at auction are not damaged or in less-than-desirable condition... ensuring they are not legally liable for the items that are sold and shipped? I suppose I can't believe my eyes when I saw a beautiful piece online, versus one that was quite different when it arrive at my home a week later. Once the communication process had broken down via email... I reached out to the Better Business Bureau-"old school," right?-thinking they might considering the implications of a mediator and/or reputational damage if enough clients voiced concerns about their business practices. This has proven to be a fool's errand-every response from the company is a variation from the previous communication. We are getting nowhere. I purchase regularly online, from auction sites-it is very much a "buyer beware" environment. So my only/best advice I can offer when dealing with Clars Auction House is... beware.
