I haven't won too many online auctions so far, so was a little nervous going into the process. Everything worked out however, so I need not have worried. The description of the item was accurate and the bidding was straightforward. The shipper, JACK LONDON MAIL (chosen from a list of shippers provided by Clars) did an outstanding job. Only hiccup was when I registered for the auction through LiveAuctioneers. After a couple days with no response from Clars, I messaged them and was told I needed to call their office to register since my auction history was limited. As mentioned, I can highly recommend JLMail. I received an estimate within an hour of my email. The painting was carefully packaged and arrived within days of payment. Now, on to my next auction!

Plates were as described except one was cracked. Clars was slow to respond to inquiries in general. Otherwise I was pleased with the transaction. I’ve been looking for these plates for 2 + years though-so, overall thrilled to find them and pleased.

I purchased a painting at the Clars auction. Unfortunately I couldn't have the painting shipped to me for less than over 3 times the purchase price, which was as ludicrous as it was unaffordable to proceed with. Clars wouldn't work with me to have the sale returned. Recently I was informed-after the fact-that they "settled" this by selling the painting for... $20. As of today, they're keeping my original $520 AND the silly $20, as well. I've been doing business with auction houses for a long time now and this is utterly unacceptable, greedy and rude. Stay away.

There is no parking there you must park on th estreet. and enter. as for payment they do not accept checks unless you leave it with them for 3 days and return......
