What a Nice Steinway
My first Steinway Grand Piano was purchased Army Surplus 40 + years ago. I had the piano for 20 + years and lost it in fire. This one is nearly identical in every way to the one I lost. I was so happy to find it. Helpful Auction house helped ke arrange shipping from California to Florida. Many Thanks.

Exquisite work of art-perfect shipping
I bought a very large 19th Century oil pastel. Given the medium, its subtlety and intricacy of the detail, I was very concerned about the shipping. The shipper I was put in touch with called me, we made decisions together, I held my breath-and when we opened it at the framer, everyone gasped. It was so beautiful.

Clars was very efficient and clear in all aspects post auction. The invoice was sent quickly and they worked well with the shipper that I chose. I received the items quickly and they were packed very well with no damage.

Winning the bid does not mean you will get what you won.
An item that I won somehow became unavailable after travelling quite a distance to pick it up. The initial explanation that it was "lost" seemed unlikely and I requested that the inquiry be upgraded to a manager. In particular, I wanted to know if he original owner still owned the item. I did not receive the courtesy of a reply.

Such a disappointment.
Dealing with Clars Auction House was incredibly disappointing for me. They were nonresponsive to my first email requesting pick up, noting a specific date and time. Trying again at another email address, I was informed I had to call and make an appointment. Appointment set. Arriving on time for my "appointment," numerous employees ignored me. After 20 minutes of avoidance, I was told I needed an appointment, argh. No one seemed capable of assisting me. After receipt of my lot of glassware, I was asked if I had a box or bags to place my items. After replying no, I was left alone to fend for myself and carry individual items to my car. Their rudeness and lack of assistance were inexcusable.

Lovely items
Clars is a very honest auction house. Interesting experience: I was sent the wrong horse, I contacted auction house and they IMMEDIATELY made it right. Found the right horse, and had it shipped at their expense. Very nice folks to work with. Will definitely go back.
