No notice of damage to the lithograph so when I received it with a small slash I contacted with concern. "You should have enlarged the photo to see it." So long, sucker!!!

There is a prominent top to bottom crack in the vase that any responsible auction house could not have missed and should have noted in the description of the item.

I have purchased multiple items from Clars. None of the items purchased have been in person and they have always made the experience, all the way through receiving the item, painless and easy.

I won a typewriter in which they said, "The keys function well, but it is not clear whether they can actually type." Functioning well on a typewriter means that the keys will advance the carrier and are all working. The ability to type depends on the ink, which I reasonably assumed was dried out. When I received the item, it was the dirtiest broken thing ever. None of the keys functioned. I spent 10 hours looking online and using reverse engineering to fix it. Additionally, their shipping partners all wanted to charge absurd prices to ship, which was more expensive than any firearms or heavier items I have ever shipped for longer distances.

Everything went very smoothly. I was the only bidder on a wonderful Chinese vase and won it for $50. I did not realize that it was so enormous but was able to find a shipper-Jack London Mail-that did a great job for a decent price. I recommend both Clars and Jack London.....

Clars handled my first live auction buying experience. I had no idea how the process worked after the winning bid. They were responsive to my emails and offered reassuring advice and reasonable expectations. The shipping agent I selected from their recommendations was excellent.
