I won a 9inx7in.05in book from 1931 for $286. They have no in house shipping and recommend 2 different ups stores. 1 quoted $65 and the other $40. Probably shouldn't have cost more then $15-20. The book came in a Ziploc bag with two pieces of loose bubble wrap in the box. Bubble wrap wasn't even around the book. Not having in house shipping only works if you have good third party shippers.

I bought a bronze bust from Vallot and had UPS ship the lot. In transit, it was damaged, and the box clearly showed signs of droppage. I contacted the auction house to confirm the state of the lot before it was handed over to UPS and Michael D. at Vallot rudely insinuated I caused the damage despite offering video proof of the package being dropped by UPS. UPS accepted full responsibility for damage and paid full claim out. I will second guess my bids with this house from now on due to poor customer service in this instance.

I will try to do this experience the justice it deserves. Michael & Vallot Auctioneers far exceeded my expectations during this transaction and Michael demonstrated the utmost in professionalism, patience and kindness during every step of the process. I purchased this clock and there were many months of delays with the third party shipper I hired to ship the clock across the country to me. Not once did Michael complain about the delay, nor did he charge me storage fees. He simply asked me to keep him updated so he could make sure the clock was able to be brought to the loading dock when the time came. We kept lines of communication open and he always called back if I didn't reach him and left a message. He responded promptly to email too. Pics were good, description was good. I would highly recommend this business to anyone based on my experience. I will leave equally complimentary public reviews on Google, Yelp and wherever else I can...
