Great pieces and great people
I’ve won a couple of items from Hilliard & Co. auctions, and the experience has been fantastic both times. The team there is discerning — the quality of the pieces is as good if not better than they describe. And the people couldn’t be more helpful. I live close enough to pick up my items myself, and the Hilliard folks have been friendly and accommodating, not to mention patient if I have to reschedule a pickup. Of the auction notices I get on LiveAuctioneers, I am most excited when a Hilliard auction is coming up!

Hilliard & Co. is my favorite auction house
I have the opportunity buy and sell with a number of fine auction houses in the Mid-Atlantic and New England. I enjoy working with Andre and Nicholas Hilliard more than any other team I know. Their genuine love for the items and their care in representing them renews my own excitement for the antiques trade. I hope they are in this business for a long, long time.

I was very pleased with everything about this auction purchase. The item was accurately advertised. The service was great from the auction house, and their supporting UPS Store was superb. I had my auction winning in hand within 5 days. I was exceedingly please with this auction experience.

Very nice auction house
This is a great auction to work with. They have quality items and I was able to arrange an easy pickup. In fact, when I arrived, they brought my painting out to my car. They are very nice people.

The Hilliard brothers go out of their way to be helpful to their customers.
I live in Madison so Hilliard Brothers are basically neighbors. Knowing them in person I can vouch for their integrity and helpfulness. They care a lot about their merchandise and their customers.

Great servicet
Hilliard is one of the best auction houses that I have dealt with in my nine of years of continuous buying from national auctions. The shipper is Blue Ridge Pack and Ship with Mike Toney. They are the best shipping company that I have dealt with in that time period. They would be rated a 6 or 7. As veteran purchasers know the shipping company used by the auctioneer is an extremely important variable. I do not like to recommend companies but I doubt that one can go wrong with either of these two companies.

When something is described as 18th c.-it should be 18th century.
Hilliard has nice items. Some are not antique, even when they are described as 18th century.

Relaibale and honest descriptionsof products
I have had consistently good ineractions with this auction group. They are accurate when describing items, prompt to recutrn phone calls of email queries, and flexible when I arrange to pick up items.
