Never again
I won 2 silver bracelets, 3 Tiffany boxes and 2 Tiffany pouches on August 15th. I asked to have the boxes folded down to cut the price of mailing, gravity boxes told me that they could not do so. So I told gravity boxes and Donny Malone to just mail the 2 bracelets and the 2 pouches. After waiting almost a month, today, September 12th, I finally received my box. Gravity boxes only mailed the 2 bracelets. The 2 Tiffany pouches WERE NOT in the box with the bracelets. I am thoroughly not happy with this whole experience! I expect the 2 Tiffany pouches mailed to me promptly and at no cost to me since I paid over $20 to have just 2 bracelets mailed to me from NY, (2 states away from me) which is ridiculous!

It was a great auction experience.
It was a great experience in dealing Donny Malone and his auction company. Great items were offered for sale and I am looking forward to his next great sale. The shipping was the best shipping experience I have ever encountered with an auction company. Gravity Boxes did the shipping which was offered. They were a great decision and they did a GREAT JOB! Great care was taken in the shipping of my items.

$1849 for shipping? I recently won 6 auctions of glass pieces. The total: $275.53 for all including the buyer's premium, sales tax & an online payment fee of $10.77.1st of all, why is there a fee to pay online? A ridiculous & unnecessary fee when considering the buyer's premium which should be covering expenses like this. 2ndly, & probably more important is shipping. I admit I did not look into shipping before the auction. Not good. What a shock I had to get a quote of $1849 for shipping from Live Auctioneers! WTF?! This auction house is about an hour from Albany, NY. I border Chicago. It's not like either the aution house or I live in extreme rural areas that would necessitate planes, trains, trains, trains, & then cars, cars, and cars. $1849??! I started looking at a trip to Albany to pick up my lots. It would have cost much less to do so. Luckily, the shipping company associated with the auction house gave an option of $250 UPS ground shipping. Of course I chose that. I still thought that was too much. But, when I received my auction lots, I saw in reality how many pieces there were, how heavy each one was, and how over-wrapped each piece was. So, I did not feel bad about the $250 picking up/packing/& shipping fee Gravity Boxes charged. I do wish Gravity Boxes was more communicative. I understand they are busy. But, when I pay for shipping, it would be nice to get an acknowledgement of such plus an estimate of when the shipping might occur. I don't think that I will go through a Donny Malone auction again due to my shipping concerns. I live just outside of Chicago & to be told that an $1849 shipping fee for my glass auction wins from Live Auctioneers is reasonable given my shipping address, is truly outrageous. Who knows? Maybe, Gravity Boxes associated with Donny Malone inflated their shipping price because of the quote by Live Auctioneers? I don't think so, but my feelings about this entire process have been tainted.

The most important thing to me is ease of transactions, no drama.
Everything went perfectly from the bidding process to the pick up of the winnings. No complicated process, no drama, just a great experience. Can't wait for the next one.

Do not do business with Donny Malone Auctions
I purchased an item for $46.00 plus 25 % buyers premium. I was quoted $132.00 for shipping after paying for item. A reasonable cost for shipping that is not. Other auction houses never charge more than 10-20 dollars. I would not recommend this auction house to my worst enemy.

reasonable shipping could not be arranged. exorbitant fees were asked for.
buyer/seller agreement could not be reached. Malone's would not ship items on their own-"against their policy".

Wonderful finds at Donny Malone
This is a great auction house to find unique items. I was extremely pleased with the paintings I purchased. I used a local shipper and everything was handled professionally. I am very pleased with my purchase and I look forward to finding more unique items at Donny Malone.

Specified Brand is NOT the item brand. Maybe fake item
Received my item from the auction house after THREE unsuccessful attempts to inquire about the paperwork confirmation for the purchased item. We don’t know WHAT we bought. So, 1. Brand was not confirmed by the auction house. 2. Auction house never responded. 3. Auction house shipping cost is astronomical. Bottom line, they only want your money. No service. No value. No benefit. Never again.

Requested refund
Purchased painting from this auction house that led me to believe it was authentic. Paid $600 plus tax plus buyer’s premium. Description was all about the painter, his life history, painting of a scene in New Hope Pa. Sent to be appraised by 2 reputable auction houses; Christies and Rago. Both told me painting was a fake. Requested via email to both Live and Donny Malone to please return money. Nothing. Still waiting … …

Unreasonable Auction House
I was in France when I bought this item on auction. In five years of buying through auctioneers, this is the first time I experience an unreasonable response to being late, due to my return to the states. And although I have almost always shipped on time, if I have been late houses are always reasonable and I've never been charged a store. It was ONE painting.

the shipper (Gravity Boxes) that Donny Malone auction uses is fantastic.
Donny Malones auction house is one of the best on the East Coast. HOWEVER-Lot # 213 is missing the pendulum-which is clearly shown in the photos. It WAS NOT identified as a "Quartz" movement replacement. Lot # 241 is fine, Lot # 246 is missing 7 of 8 wood screws on the back panel of the clock., Lot # 253 is in good to go as far as that goes-the lack of photos of the backside is deceptive-this item appears to have a different life before someone put wall hangers on the item-it looks like its prior life was as an "eating tray" in its original life-and that WAS NOT shown at all-as all photos are of the front side

Representation of a prior significant damage lacked adequate disclosure, & transparency
Photo of item viewed from my phone did not disclose so major damage, covered by a repair. I bought what should have been a beautiful wooden jewelry or treasure box. Apparently the entire lid had split in half and it was repaired. Indid not and could not see it when I viewed all thevphotos on my phone during bidding. When I received I contacted the auctioneer. I hadvdone business with him before once before, and my expectation was that he would be reasonable. I told him that the item was damaged and I wanted return it because the damage was not disclosed in the narrative or the photos. He insisted there was a photo of the top, the lid, a said I should have looked at the photos. I had, and I looked at them again, and came to the same conclusion. I explained that not everyone is viewing on a desktop and that itvwas incumbent on him to ensure the disclosure was done fairly. The bottom line is he wouldn't even take back under any circumstances. I will no longer bid on his auctions or visit his shop. He lost a bidder, namely myself, who always looked at his auctions and bought on more than one occasion. Even though as he said, that this rather significant damage was visible on a computer picture, not everyone looks at the photos on a computer before bidding and he could have found a way to be more accomodating or at the very least conciliatory or kind. More to the point he did a very unreasonable job being transparent about the damage. The most visible and important part if the piece was what was damaged.
