My first time with KA and found them responsive with preauction questions, smoothly and efficiently run auction with IMO great items (this auction was Mid Century Modern). I purchased a sofa true to its description by KA. I followed the online rather IMO “cumbersome” (yet meant for efficiency) only to find later on my 2nd auction experience that KA now uses a more flexible direct shipper to KA contact to make pickup arrangements. My shipper approved/appreciated their process. Professional, efficiently managed, easy to work with, and quality items IMO. I am a satisfied repeat customer. Highly recommended. Thank you KA!

Love the tables I purchased. Kamelot prepared them for pickup very quickly and there were no surprises upon receipt. Tables were just as described. Customer service over the phone answered all my questions, as it was my first time purchasing from them. Seamless process!

I asked for a more fulsome condition report for a table I was interested in bidding on. Kamelot responded to say "This is in good condition, appears to be intact and ready to use." Unfortunately, the base of the table is cracked and the table itself is incredibly, noticeably wobbly. The wobble would have been obvious by just lightly touching the tabletop, so I doubt anyone actually did more than look at it from across the room. I picked up the table myself and wrapped it in moving blankets and it was tightly secured, so I know nothing happened during transport. I now have to take the table to be repaired because it is absolutely not usable in its current condition. Buyer beware, condition reports are NOT accurate! Wish I would have been told the actual condition report before bidding, which again, is not difficult to determine. I would think twice before bidding again and assume any furniture purchased through Kamelot will need significant repairs before use.

Do not purchase from this company. They completely mislead customers on the quality of the products.

I have purchased several items through Kamelot and they have always provided a great item with great service. They make it very easy to pay and help when possible with shipping logistics.

Pros: I live in Philly so it's close by. Their building is very cool. I've bought a painting and chandelier in the past that were great! Cons: Buyer-beware attitude. I just bought an expensive antique rug from them and it was covered in cat hair, plus as a bonus, pee and poop stains that were only kinda-cleaned! My dog went crazy when I bought the rug home (all rolled up and tied up so I couldn't see the true state of things) which was a little suspicious. I unrolled the rug and holy cow! Super gross. Of course their pictures shown none of this and their description is glowing. Yes, I contacted them and they said "too bad".. I should have done my due diligence and asked for a "condition report." So word to the wise: if you are interested in buying something from Kamelot, ask them if there's any animal ********** on it. That cool mid-century credenza?-maybe there's dog ********** in the drawer. Or that victorian sofa-maybe there's a dead cat sewn into the cushions. Not their problem if you don't ask!

I've bought a number of items from Kamelot and have been generally satisfied with both the items as presented and customer service. However this purchase was an exception. The catalogue photos did not add anything to the minimal description, so I asked for a condition rpt and got "Structurally sound and in good condition". The auction house failed to mention that the marble top was chipped and scratched (they inferred I should have noted in photos) and no mention that the top had been broken in half and poorly repaired (not visible in photos). Neither did they mention the sub top had been replaced and new molding added to cover the new plywood. The back legs were not original and had been poorly attached with nails and glue, leaving gaps at the joints. The front paw feet may or may not be original, but both had been obviously removed and re-attached. All of this was easily seen in person, all of this materially affected the value and would have discouraged me from bidding at all. All of this was easily seen within minutes of the cross-country driver unloading. After back and forth with customer service, I ultimately received a $200 settlement against a restoration cost of $1300. It is discouraging given that the antique industry has been saved from obscurity as direct result of the on-line market place and absentee buyers can only rely on photos and descriptions. When added to the cost is a 30 % house premium plus rising shipping costs ($1, 200 from PA to CA), the accuracy and integrity of condition reports is all the more relevant. The lengthy 'buyer beware' verbiage in Kamelot's fine print does not eliminate the auction house's fiduciary responsibility to disclose what the average person can see with a general visual inspection.

The pick up process includes meandering through Philadelphia streets to find the warehouse and down an alleyway to the back lot. Pick up has to be fairly soon after auction ends. But they have very helpful uys to get it from warehouse to van and the office staff are efficient and friendly. Well run operation. Great items too! Love this place.

I've made many purchases from Kamelot over the past few years and will continue to do business with them. They do an excellent job accurately describing their fixtures, they promptly answer any questions that I might have and everyone there is very professional, courteous and friendly. Whether your a first time buyer or a retailer they treat everyone with respect and go the extra mile to be of assistance. Ron
