Item was listed as metal table base. I bought the item and paid over $600 for it. Shipping was $875, plus a $40 tip. My paid invoice from Kamelot listed the item as cast aluminum. Received the item and found out that it was not metal. It is some sort of composite similar to Bondo. Would not have bid on the item if I had known what it was. To me, it was worth about $350 as is, but not worthy of spending almosr $1k to get it to me. It was like bidding on marble urns and finding them to be just cast concrete. Kamelot offered me $100 credit towards next auction. As if I would ever do business with them again. For a full refund, I would have to pay shipping again. Terrible way to do business.

We are sad to hear that you are disappointed. I remember your phone call last week and you seemed to be quite happy with the look of it, and and you did not ask for any refunds. As a courtesy, we offered a 20 % credit on your $500 piece. Kamelot Auctions sells over 1000 items each month, and while we do our best to describe the consigned items to the best of our ability, human error can happen. We still welcome the return of the item for us to look over for a full refund of the lot, but understand if you still like it enough to keep.

They need to vet the quality of the product they’re putting on auction
I bought a sofa which had been reupholstered with new cushions and it’s obviously done haphazardly. I seldom leave reviews but this is the most expensive piece of trash I’ve bought. It’s such a shame

One of the best
Ive bought many things on Live auctioneers and dealt with many auction houses, Kamelot is one of the easiest ive dealt with, helpful, polite, and great communication. I dealt mainly with Laura she was great. Will definitely do business again. Everything was exactly as described.

They sold us FAKE Brno chairs that were vinyl not leather as described. FAKES
Beware, I was sold FAKE chairs. When I returned I had to cover the return shipping costs.

Hi Liz, We are confused by this review as we were under the impression your concern was that the upholstery was vinyl and not leather as listed in the auction description. We agreed to accept the chairs as a return, and when they came back to the auction house, confirmed to you that the upholstery was in fact leather. As for the branding, we explained that because the chairs had been recently re-upholstered, the manufacturing/upholstery tag had been removed. We believe we went above and beyond by refunding your auction purchase even though our terms and conditions does not accommodate returns. We are sorry to hear that you are unhappy with your experience with Kamelot but stand by our belief that these are in fact authentic BRNO and the upholstery is genuine leather.
