Great auction house with great items and good customer service! Will absolutely buy again!

The folks at Kamelot Auctions are very responsive, helpful, and a delight to work with. I have purchased a few lots from them, and they are always wonderful to work with.

Bad experience with Kamelot Auctions. On the positive side, the staff was incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to coordinate a fast release of our items on very short notice. The pieces themselves were visually beautiful and well-priced. However, I was deeply disappointed by the lack of transparency regarding the items 'actual physical condition. Both pieces arrived in a state of physical decay that was not disclosed: Lot 1432 (Rosewood Hutch): The bronze mounting was physically detaching and had to be removed for transport — a defect not clearly visible in the auction photos. Additionally, a several of the ornaments on the shelf literally crumbled while being moved and showed incredibly shoddy hot glue level reattachment. Lot 1038 (Chaise Lounge): A leg was found to have been previously sheared off and poorly reattached with wood glue. The repair was so shoddy it failed upon the slightest movement (also hot glue) Most frustrating was the contradictory communication from the auction house. When I raised these issues, I was initially told that "we do not inspect the items" unless a formal condition report is requested. Yet, in a follow-up email, the representative contradicted this by stating that even if I had requested a report, the issues "would not have been noticed" by their team anyway. While their logistics are excellent, I would caution future bidders that "as-is" here appears to include undisclosed structural failure that the staff admits they may not catch even upon request. They tend to be hostile in their replies to negative reviews so before they are able to say anything: I participate in 100 + auctions a year, pay on time, and take delivery of over $10mm in pieces a year for UNHW clients nationwide. This conduct is far outside of regular for any reputational auction house and multiple of their recommended shippers (who I did not work with, nor head the lessons of) told me they are known for "shoddy pieces" and unethical practice.

I won these and completely forgot about it for over a month! Kamelot was amazingly understanding and quickly helped me to arrange payment and shipping. No hassles. Absolute pleasure to deal with these people!

I bought a sofa which had been reupholstered with new cushions and it’s obviously done haphazardly. I seldom leave reviews but this is the most expensive piece of trash I’ve bought. It’s such a shame

Ive bought many things on Live auctioneers and dealt with many auction houses, Kamelot is one of the easiest ive dealt with, helpful, polite, and great communication. I dealt mainly with Laura she was great. Will definitely do business again. Everything was exactly as described.

They have a very good eye … …. more things “for me” than anywhere else.

My first time with KA and found them responsive with preauction questions, smoothly and efficiently run auction with IMO great items (this auction was Mid Century Modern). I purchased a sofa true to its description by KA. I followed the online rather IMO “cumbersome” (yet meant for efficiency) only to find later on my 2nd auction experience that KA now uses a more flexible direct shipper to KA contact to make pickup arrangements. My shipper approved/appreciated their process. Professional, efficiently managed, easy to work with, and quality items IMO. I am a satisfied repeat customer. Highly recommended. Thank you KA!
