For nearly forty years the name Bloomsbury Auctions has commanded respect in the book auction-world, from its foundation by Lord John Kerr, Frank Hermann and David Stagg in 1983 and throughout the numerous successful sales that followed. In 2017 it came under the umbrella of Dreweatts and focused on a series of specialised sale categories, from offices in Pall Mall. We now hold twice yearly auctions of Western Manuscripts and Miniatures in early July and December, and twice yearly Islamic and Near Eastern Books and Manuscripts sales in London's two Islamic weeks, as well as a number of sales of individual specialised collections of books and libraries offered through our Rare Books department. We offer a bespoke service tailored to the client's requirements and the nature of the collection or library, be it from across a number of book categories or a collection focusing on one particular specialist area. There are many benefits to selling a library put together carefully over many years by a single collector in a dedicated sale, and the auction market is particularly responsive to material fresh to market and meticulously curated. Auctions in this category also benefit from a range of promotional activities which can be specifically geared to the collection and the consignor. I have been lucky that Bloomsbury for have promised to arrange shipment of my last purchase, but i see it as a future problem that Bloomsbury in the future does not seem to wish to have anything to do with shipment. Regards ¨ J ø rgen

Auction house and transaction were first rate. Only thing that I would suggest to change would be the fact they only take bank wires from the U. S. which is a real pain in these modern times. But, that being said, 5 star transaction.-Logan
