Wonderful machine. Clean inside and out and works perfectly.

I recently bought a 50c "golden falls" machine. Under the lot details, it listed it as "professionally restored" and that it works as it should. Couldn't be farther from the truth. The inside mechanism is a grimy greasy mess and the reel strips are all cut and patched together. This machine is a true Frankenstein and doesn't work (I believe because of all the grease and oil everywhere and it doesn't pay out as it should). Not only are the reel strips patched and don't match anything I can find in the catalog, but the reel disks are a mess with extra holes cut in and covers welded over some of the payout holes. It's also missing a payout finger that engages with the disk. A true piece of garbage.

I really liked the item and watched it for about a week and had to ask a shipping question. If I won it, I didn’t want to be surprised by a huge cost. I sent an e-mail and the next day, I had a response! I kept watching and the day of the auction, I placed a bid and crossed my fingers. I won it and was blown away by how they helped me finish up the win. Everything that I asked was answered quickly. To top it off, I was nervous about the shipping and they assured me not to worry. In a very timely manner I received my win, packaged incredibly well. To top it off, my shipping was a little lower than we thought it would be and the job was better than I thought was possible. I’m now following this auction house!

I have purchased or been the winning bidder the this auction house on numerous occasions and they always are accurate on their descriptions and overall I am pleased with them. My only complaint is that it seems to take (at times) a long time to get items shipped. Not a huge deal, but I purchase a lot at times through auctions and it gets confusing when I do not get updates and clear communication on what is going on with my specific purchases. I do recommend this auction house and will continue to bid with them, just food for thought.

This was one of the best online auctions I have had throughLA.com-mostly because of how smooth everything with Donley was. Easy payment; in-house shipping which was amazing and they didn't fake bid you up like so many other houses are doing! Kudos to the outstanding shipping team who knew how to package this antique correctly and used two shipping boxes for the size differential of the pieces... plus... this was the ABSOLUTE BEST SHIPPING PRICE I have ever been quoted... usually they gouge you on shipping but they were right on! Thank you DONLEY!!

I have safely received this clock. After major repairs it will look and function great. I can get all the repairs done.
