Altermann Galleries & Auctioneers, established in 1978, specializes in Western, American, Native American & Wildlife art.
The galleries are located just off of historic Canyon Road in Santa Fe, New Mexico at 345 Camino Del Monte Sol, and in Historic Old Town Scottsdale, Arizona at 7172 East Main Street. A consignment office is located in Dallas, TX at 2103 Irving Boulevard.
In addition to our private gallery sales at our Santa Fe and Scottsdale locations, Altermann Galleries conducts three to five auctions annually.
We are always accepting on consignment and purchasing works for our future auctions. Please contact us if you are interested in consigning artworks. You may also submit works through our artwork evaluation page (on our website) that you would like to consign for a future auction or to be sold privately through one of our galleries. We produce a full color catalog for each auction and also offer an annual auction catalog subscription.

Altermann Gallery auctions are always curated work from New Mexico and southwest artists and craftsmen. I have always found multiple items to bid on because the items offered are what I look for to add to my collection. Gallery

Altermann Galleries is definitely one of the easiest auction houses to work with, they have accurate descriptions, good photographs, and a streamlined check out process.

This is one of the best houses I do business with... there were some houses in New Orleans that were good but I'm too old for them now.

Good pictures and Accurate Description. Shipping is double or triple Normal Price.
My experience went pretty well, over all. The item was "as described", so no surprises there. The shipping, is truly the Highest of any of the same type, out of over 300 paintings purchased in 6 years!! That's truly saying something. It is easily double or triple, what others charge, for exactly the same service. Get shipping quotes "Before" you bid/buy, period, or "You Will" be in for an unpleasant shock. Other than this, they seem to be professional and considerate and do have a good organization "overall". They won't pull any unethical "funny business" on you, for sure.
