This auction house is so easy to work with, it was a pleasure. Their merchandise is beautiful and pick up was so easy. We will mark this as one of our top auction houses.

I am extremely disappointed with this seller. The sideboard was materially misrepresented in the listing. The brass cladding on the base is detached from the wood, bent, and in poor condition — clearly pre-existing damage that was never disclosed. The shipper provided detailed photos taken at pickup, confirming the condition existed prior to shipping. Despite this, the seller refused to take responsibility and instead blamed the shipper while insisting I received a “great deal.” Failure to disclose significant defects is unacceptable and misleading.

I like easy and this was. No surprises. No disappointments.

Due to personal concerns, I haven't been able to pick up my chair yet. The owner gave me his personal mobile to call when I'm able to come and is holding my item for me. He was just so kind and lovely that I felt compelled to write a review before I pick up.

Staff was very friendly and responsive. Everything smoothly from start to finish. I highly recommend this auction house. I love the table I purchased for a fraction of the price of its worth.

These folks bent over backwards to help us get this item. They took hours out of their weekend to cover and place the trike where I could pick it up on our travel schedule, outside their business hours. A +. Will do business with them any time.

I was nervous as a first time bidder but 5th avenue auctions took all my worry away. They were responsive and accommodating … and had the best selection of antiques i’ve ever seen. After several more auctions with 5th ave, I can attest that they are the best of the best. Counting the days till the next auction!

We were advised of a shipper in New York City, whose fee is in excess of $50.00 to go from NYC to Stamford, CT to retrieve my item. I was fortunate enough to locate The UPS Store # 0706, Bull's Head, 65 HighRidge Road, Stamford, CT 0690 They were so helpful and courteous with several emails over the location of the auction, considering the auctions listing for shipping & collection of paid items was very confusing. I will use the The UPS Store # 0706, ********** for purchases in the Stamford area but I will certainly be more descerning about using 5th Avenue Auctions in the future. Mark

Very poor customer service. Made arrangements to pick up item via phone conversation only to be told on arrival that it had been destroyed. This was after a 5 hour (10 hour) trip. Was promised an email for future purchase, but no response. Owner was very non-chalant-almost rude. Did finally refund bid.

The Auction house staff are very professional and helpful, but after waiting 2 months to receive my merchandise, which is not their fault I chose the shipper, the quality of the merchandise was horrible. the settee was old and rotten out with broken legs which could be a shipping issue. BUT, the quality of most of the merchandise compared to what I received from other auction houses was not the best. The cushion in the chairs smelled and the photos look glammed up the merchandise. It was not worth the wait on most of it. There was a beautiful gold chair and navy blue ostrich chair is very good condition, I had 5 chairs. The settee was the biggest disappointment.
