Clarke Auction Gallery
Clarke Auction Gallery was started in Westchester NY in 1998. It is owned and operated by Ronan Clarke, an Irishman who started his career in Ireland and came to New York in 1988 via London. Since his arrival Clarke has moved from being a picker to owning 2 retail Antique Stores and All Boro Estate Liquidators (As featured in NY Times, NewYorker, Cranes and Fox 5 News) to opening his own Clarke Auction Gallery which fast became Westchester's Premier Auction.
Clarke Auction Gallery runs monthly to a packed house and is situated in the center of Larchmont NY, just five minutes from the Metro North Station (30mins from N.Y.C, 20 mins from Connecticut) and also on the 95 @ exit 17.

No worries auction process
I’ve purchased a number of items over the years from Clarke’s Gallery. Has never been an issue with the description versus reality. I always received my item, nothing was lost and happy with my transactions. Thanks to Ron and his staff.

Model auction house to which all others should aspire
I know of no better auction house in terms of knowledgeable, friendly and available appraisers and specialists. The administrative staff are accommodating on a level rarely experienced nowadays. Items are always well photographed, and often include a standard sized object to indicate scale. Also, a visit to the physical location is well worth one's while, as items are well presented and there is always staff available to provide a closer look or supplement info.

Clarke is consistently excellent in the quality of both their auctions and their customer service.
Clarke is one of the Auction Galleries that I trust implicitly. I look forward to seeing their auctions come up because I know there won't be any 'funny business' that plagues the art auction world. They present high quality items, always clearly indicate any flaws or concerns ahead of time, and are clear and consistent in their communication. They are also pleasant and accommodating individuals to work with.

Responsive, Helpful, Great Customer Service/Support
First time experience with them and not disappointed. They had an expensive, difficult to find item which I was very excited to win. I did work with them to change my payment method after the fact. But resolved to my satisfaction. I had difficulty with arranging my shipping but they were understanding and accommodated my schedule. All good and I was very pleased.

good photos
On line photos of items are crucial to being able to make informed decisions as to whether or not to bid on something. There were ample photos showing each piece including an area of damage (two photos of this)
