Qualifications
Rachel Davis holds a B.A. in Art History and a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Delaware, along with an M.B.A. from Indiana University. She worked as a Painting Conservation Assistant at Winterthur Museum from 1980 1982, and was Director of Fine Arts at WOLF's from 1983-1991. While at WOLF's, Rachel managed sales of $4 million per year, and she was responsible for the authentication and documentation of fine arts and antiques.
Gallery History
Rachel Davis Fine Arts opened in May 1992. She began auctions of works on paper in October of that year, and added auctions of paintings in March 1996. Later in 1996, we began auctioning rare and out-of-print books.

Nice auction house, local to me

Love the art from this auction house
This auction house is local to me, so it was really convenient and cost-effective to pick up the item. People here are very friendly and efficient. The location is in an old brick building on a dead end in the urban west side, but once you find it and get inside, it’s lovely. And they ring you in by appointment only, for security. There are several steps up to the gallery — a consideration if your item is large/heavy. The one thing I would have liked to know about (which didn’t show in the pictures, and maybe no one noticed) was a bit of grime on the upper right surface of the painting like possibly some dirty rain had been splashed. No problem though as I learned to gently remove the dirt without affecting the oil painting itself. So all is well! Would do business here again without a doubt. They have many wonderful works of art and a long history here. Thank you so much!

Great Regional Auction House
Rachel Davis Fine Arts is in my neighborhood here in Cleveland. I have attended Rachel Davis auctions both in-person and online for three decades and have found many treasures over the years, including this gorgeous work by Cleveland school artist Ora Coltman, whose granddaughter I knew. It's always a pleasure to do business with Rachel Davis.
