Great in all aspects

It would have been so perfect! Great vintage Hanson sconces at a great price from a wonderful auction house. Except... the lamps did not come with the essential mounting plates that allow them to be hung on a wall. This is not a metal piece you can just find on the internet nor is it something you can just have made. I called to ask if the mounting plates may have been left behind but after several calls was told they were not. Lesson for future purchasers of vintage hanging lamps check for mounting brackets before buying.

Very happy with my experience at Showplace. The FLW tile I purchased was more attractive than the description let on and the whole process was smooth and professional. My only complaint is traffic in and out of Queens but still worth the trip.

I am only posting this because I want buyers to beware before they spend their money. I purchased an expensive belt and, while it is pretty, it is NOT as it was described. The belt was described as being 1.25” wide, but in fact, it is less than 1/5” wide. That is a significant difference in the leather and therefore, the silver buckle. The belt was sold on 10/30, but I only received it on 11/18. I have submitted for a refund, however there is a significant amount of “small print.” I fear their transparency, or lack thereof. I don’t have an attorney on hand to read their full policy. Most significantly, I did NOT receive what I paid for!

Be patient. Pack/shipping takes a takes a bit of time. Was provided a quick response to inquiry and item was packaged exceptionally well and on schedule as communicated.

Loved the auction. Showplace staff took care to provide available documentation for the item. Jackie and the team at UPS Store 6052 did a fabulous job packing it all together and delivering it in good order. All good here.

Beautiful piece of art. The pride of my collection. I research all the pieces I've purchased and was able to connect with the artist. He was cordial and surprised and shared a story of the Village Days in NYC in the 80s when it was created. Touched me, I highly recommend Auctions at Showplace.

The seller said there "might be some tearing" in the caning of this chair... Uhm, when I picked this chair up, I found out, there basically is no caning. Yep, there's a big ole hole where the seat should be. Cleverly, the seller covered it with a cushion. Problem is, what good is a cushion if there's nothing below it? Joke's on me, I didn't think to ask if this seat had a seat... Point is, buying here at "Live" is a matter of trust. Sellers that try to pull a fast one aren't cool. They're not good members of the community. If the seller were cool, they would have offered a photo of what was under the cushion, and let the buyer decide if they want to bid or not... This was a "Fool me once" transaction. I won't be fooled again by this seller. You shouldn't be either. Also: Points off for the pick up process. I got a street address, in a crowded, no parking downtown. Come to find out pick up was at a driveway around the block. Might have been nice to know that.

My sculpture is in perfect condition! It is very beautiful! And I must say that the packing job was the best that I have seen yet in shipping A very delicate porcelain figurine. I was amazed at how well the item was protected in the box, and that it actually did not arrive broken because it is so delicate of a piece. Thank you very much for being so careful in wrapping the porcelain item! I would definitely do business again with Flanders auction house. They were also very prompt in responding to me when I followed up on the shipping date for my item! Thanks much!

so my only concern is that the auction house shipping on the furniture item i had won was tok much. I did find ThePackengers moving service that managed to pick up and deliver my item for me at about half the cost of what the auction house had for shipping! Other than that, i am very satisfied, and not intending to be rude in any way. I will continue to bid and do future business … Pls start using more reasonable shipping for items such as that furniture piece i bought …., when you win a piece at auction for a great price, (and it was), you definitly dont want to lose money by paying excessivly high shipping costs, and thats teally my only concern. Thanks for having me as a customer, and again, other than that ….., i have been very happy with the purchases i have made, as well as the ease of payment methods … Thanks guys for provifing great items to bid on ….
