I have ordered several items and I had questions on each item, they got back to me quickly. I had the pleasure of speaking with Donna from Art Legacy on several items and she goes above & beyond, she answered all my questions they are very knowledgeable on every item they list, (I asked alot of questions) I highly recommend this Auction House: Art Legacy. They are the Best in my book!

After receiving a painting I bought for over $2000, I discovered that the signature bore absolutely no resemblance to the artist they had unequivocally attributed the painting to. And with further research I determined that the painter in question was working in an entirely different style at the time of my painting. I realize I should have asked for more information and done more research in advance. But most reputable auction houses are very careful about attributions, and Art Legacy clearly was not. I contacted Art Legacy to ask if they had any additional documentation or provenance information that would help establish who the actual artist is (or that would support their attribution) and they will not respond. LiveAuctioneers says it is up tom me to disprove Art Legacy's attribution. So be VERY careful. In addition, the photo was not a good reproduction of the colors (that happens), and the painting is in worse condition than described. Of particular concern is an odor of mildew. No amount of research on my end would have revealed that.

First time buying with this company, Donna was excellent to work with, Donna kept me up to date, sent a message when it was time to ship, provided tracking numbers, unfortunately there was an issue in shipping and Donna made it right, unlike a couple of other auction houses that don't care and make excuses, overall, Donna was easy to work with, great communication, represented Art Legacy Auctions in a positive manner. One of the things I absolutely love about working with Art Legacy is their excellent communication skills. It's not often that you come across an auction house that takes the time to keep you informed and updated. Although I received only one of the two pictures I had purchased from them so far, I wasn't worried. Why? Because they took the time to communicate with me about it. They assured me the other picture was coming and promptly answered all my questions. Trust me, I've dealt with other auction houses before, and getting them to call me back or respond in a timely manner was quite a challenge! I can't stress enough how wonderful it was to have Art Legacy respond so promptly and quickly. Their level of communication truly sets them apart. You can rest assured that if you have any concerns or questions, they will be there to help you. P. S. I have had the opportunity to work with Donna, and I must say she is truly the best. Rest assured, you are in good hands.

Sometimes there's only one photo of an item and a one sentence description (this is in excellent condition). Is it a signed lithograph? A copy? One of how many? Etc.

I won a very nice Chagall lithgraph from the uge painting at the Metropolitan Opera in New York, which I love so much. I wrote a few words to Art Legacy to thank them and explain how nice it was to offer the litho to my husband who is fond of the Magic Flute (represented on the litho). And as a gift, they send with my art a large poster of the whole painting at the Met … What a nice and kind attention! The art was very well protected to fly to France, and the package tracking was perfect! Very warm sharing by email too... Thank you so much!

We are very impressed with the overall experience dealing with Art Legacy Auctions. Good images and descriptions on the website. Excellent communication. We used their in-house shipping services and are very pleased with packing and delivery. Now we get to gaze at the beautiful art!

Top notch experience

Donna was extremely helpful and easy to deal with. The paintings are exactly as described and I’m looking forward to future auctions.

I should have realized when there was only one photo that this was an item we should not buy. Received the item and it’s poorly hand remarked and has a cheap frame. The frame is easy we can change that but the quality of the work is frankly embarrassing low and there is nothing we can do about that. We are furnishing our new guest house and wanted to blend original art works with a coul3 of reproductions which we can do with high quality reproductions with quality brush work. Unfortunately I can’t hang this piece in our home. Asked multiple times to return the item with no response after the initial call to see what we were disappointed in. We had bids on multiple other items and cancelled them as I would not want anything else from this auction house, due to the lack of quality of this piece. I would suggest anyone purchasing take the time to get a good idea of your potential purchase, ask for additional photos and review the detail. This is not the quality we receive from replicas through the museum company or brushstrokes. Buyer beware.

They called me to let me know that my pictures were on their way. They also asked if they could help me with anything else. Just called out of the blue.

While the time was as advertised, it was sent to the wrong address, an error on their behalf. When corresponding with Art Legacy they were unapologetic and unhelpful telling me to ‘ look for the item ’.

I had given an incomplete shipping address and Art Legacy Auctions worked with me to get my artwork. It was a real pain and they where very nice about it. Once the works arrived I realized how well they had been packaged and really appreciated it.

Shipping was amazing, and the actual items are beautiful. From what I can see, they advertised the items in good faith, and delivered what they advertised. My only hesitation is due to the fact that 99 % of the other items I have bought on this platform, were forgeries. To be clear, none of the items that were forgeries came from this auction house, but it does make me wonder. BUT everything looks legit, and until proven otherwise, I am very happy with my items. Note to auction house-you seem to be good, think about using a different and better platform for your auctions, because you deserve it.

Quality art pieces. Well framed, certificate on back of art piece, exceptional customer service.

The frame had chips that were fixed w/a sharpie or something; that was a bit of a disappointment.
