Professional Auction House-
You wonder about things, when bidding on an item from an Auction House you are not familiar with. Will they help with shipping, will they ship it soon, will they answer my emails. Am I going to regret winning the bid. I do this every time myself. With Churchill Galleries Auction you do not need to worry. The item I won was shipped quickly and was packaged with extreme care, so no damage occurred during shipment. They helped with shipping and answered my emails questions immediately. I was very pleased with the transaction and will not hesitate doing business with them again in the future. Thanks-

Another good experience
Living within a decent LIRR train ride as I do, I'm able to pick things up from this auction house; in this particular case, the director of the house went out of his way to be helpful. I've had a number of transactions with this firm, and will again in the future.

Never sent item I won and never provided a refund after follow up
I did not receive the item I won. I paid for the item and the shipping. After follow up with Churchill Galleries due to not receiving the item and receiving no shipping notice, I was initially told the book I won was lost and he would send a replacement. Despite several follow ups and delays, I never received the book, never received a refund of the book I won and never received a refund of the shipping I have paid. Churchill Galleries has not responded to additional inquiries. Have followed up with LiveAuctionners for assistance. Would never bid or purchase from Churchill Galleries.

Buyer Beware!
Never Received Won Items!!! 11/24/24: won two canvas pictures 11/27: spoke to Churchill, they quickly sent a shipping invoice, which $85 was paid immediately via paypal 1/6/25: verbally spoke to Churchill, not in office, text me so when i'm in office I can send you the tracking information, it shipped 1/13: called, no answer; text requesting tracking, no reply 1/14: called, no answer; text requesting refund, no response 1/31: Writing this review, have never been contact by Churchill, no items ever received and no refund.-I live in Iowa so it must certainly has had sufficient time to arrive even taking into account the holidays or delays. On 1/14 I also opened a ticket with liveauctioneers, bidder support. 1/21: I followed up with liveauctioneers regarding my ticket. 1/25: LiveAuctioneers responded apologizing for the late response due to the high number of email cases. Perhaps this should be my first and last purchase with any auctioneer on liveauctioneers.

I think they lost my stuff?
Initially they sent 7 of the paintings I bought. He seemed confused and unsure when I asked about the other 6 paintings. Said he had them and would ship asap. I have not received them or tracking info. I'll keep bugging them while I file a complaint against them. I dont recommend this auctioneer

ONE OF 4 LOTS WON NOT DELIVERED.. IGNORED BY CHURCHILL AUCTIONS
One 500 $+ lot from 4 won never delivered.. Ovee20 calls and messages with the auction house. They admit the non delivery but only after excuse. Still not delivered and they have refused to respond NOW DISPUTE IS OVER 3 MONTHS OLD AND THEY STILL HAVE NOT RESPONDED EVEN AFTER LIVE AUCTIONEERS CONTACTED THEM … dishonest!!!!

Art is beautiful
I purchased 4 different pieces by the same artist and the photo doesn't do them justice. 2 of them are superb. I had purchased them almost 2.5 months ago and was going to gift 2 of them as Christmas presents. Well too late now, but I'll keep them. Good deal, just be aware of the loooong shipping time.

An honest auction house with integrity and diligence
One of the books I won couldn't be located. The auction house took it upon itself to make things right by actually going out and hunting for a replacement copy. It took a while, but they succeeded. Full marks for integrity, honesty and diligence, and they'll continue to get my business.

Seller not recommended
After a long an unknown long delay in shipping my item, I requested a refund. After that request, they shipped my item without notification and caused the item to be held at the UPS Store while I was away on a two week out of state business trip. The vendor recalled my item and has not re-shipped. I asked for a refund and eventually they gave my money back, but a few days later they charged my card again, without authorization, and has since ghosted me. I have been working with Live Auctioneers for support and the process goes on. Vendor received $230.00 for my item on 8/20/2024 and today's date is 12/18/2024 with no end with this problem in sight. Bidders beware!!!

It seems there was a lapse in your recollection. Initially, you declined to pay for the item post-auction due to the shipping fees cited by Live Auctioneers. Subsequently, you completed your payment through PayPal a month after the auction concluded. Your item was shipped to the address you provided. Question: If you knew you were going to be away and you have received tracking information from us, why did you not reach out to UPS to either collect your item or redirect it to your new address? You have access to your tracking details — please contact UPS to arrange delivery to your location. We advise you to do this promptly to avoid the risk of the item being sent back to us.

Paid for item on Sept 29, received item December 7. Worst shipping in the country; I'm 75 miles away! Called 4 times, tried to have it picked up but they weren't available. You have been warned!

Over 60 Days and no product.
After several calls and messages (in the last 60 days), Churchill Galleries came through with delivery and everything was in great condition and packed well. If they could step up communication, it would be a plus. They did reach out after receiving the items to make sure everything was ok and that they were looking into a new shipper. I appreciated the communication.

Avoid this auction house at any cost
I live 20 min away from this auction, I won several lots with the intent of picking them up. I contacted them to arrange pickup and owner said he would give me a pickup appointment date by the end of the week, Waited till end of week and called and was told in a stern voice that he would contact me when I could pickup my items and not to call him, waited till the following week and went there directly to find out where my items were and he suggested that I use the link and have them shipped to me at a cost of $285. I refused and told him to get me my items, he whined and told me I had disrespected him and to leave. Waited another week and my items were still not there. Total of 4 weeks before I could pickup my items and when I did get them they were all stacked on top of each other in a box getting all scratched up, Owner can’t handle the business and is full of excuses. Stay away

We had informed you that you needed to schedule a visit, as the items from that auction were not yet prepared. Your behavior was quite aggressive, and you identified yourself as a police officer. You also referenced other unfavorable comments on our live auctioneer's platform and threatened to leave similar feedback. Consequently, we found it necessary to prohibit your participation in future auctions. It seems there is a lapse in your recollection, as you neglected to mention in your review that we had offered you an earlier appointment, which you canceled due to being out of town. You inspected, signed for, and collected your purchase over three weeks later without any problems, yet now you assert that the items are damaged. This situation reflects poorly on you.

Never buy
Told shipper pack securely they threw it in a box and shipped it and low and behold they were broken 60 dollars and to top it off they only sent one of my lots contacted them and of course if you read there reviews they blame it on everyone but themselves WILL NOT BUY FROM THEM AGAIN can't wait to see there response to why only one lot was shipped and that they allow there shippers to pack that way shows there real character

Never got my item despite weekly attempts and conversations
They strung me along for a month, reporting that they had the item and would call the day before scheduled time to pick up to be told we will call you back to make sure someone is there. In actuality they had conflict with the sonseignor and never obtained the item. I held on for so long because this is an item I was researching and waiting for the right price for over a year. Initially thought it was a scam but poor communication, follow through and organization.

VERY EXPENSIVE/SLOW SHIPPING, Damaged Item, No Response,
What can I say other than this experience was awful. I made my payment immediately, after 3 weeks of being told my items shipped, then more excuses as to why my items had not shipped, I basically had to threaten to contact my credit card company... So after nearly a month from my payment being made, my items arrived barely protected and crammed into the box for $52 I was expecting quicker and better packing. The sword I purchased had the very uncommon sword knot that was in mint condition, this arrived ripped, torn and destroyed (very disappointing). So I gave this company the benefit of a doubt and tried to contact them, over a week ago they were sent photos and contacted, I was told I would be contacted. After no contact I have now messaged them on Live Auctioneers (still have not been contacted.) If you must have an item they are auctioning then be my guest, but personally from my experience and overall dissatisfaction I would say just wait and do business elsewhere, because I purchased an item that showed up damaged and have been taken advantage of and ignored regarding the situation.

Not good
I purchased these katanas. They looked good in the photos. Proper era saya, tsuba, fittings and handles. However only on handle is actual wood with rayskin the other is plastic and the most important part is that they have been dulled and chromed. That is the worst thing to do to a katana. People want naturaul steel and a proper edge or the remnants of one. None of these issue were disclosed in the listing. Not good. Not what I thought I was getting at all. Now repair costs will be more to restore to original. (Thanks whatever idiot ********** these up) also they really need to state these things in there listing. Went from excited to sever disappointment.

This was a group of two books I won at auction. One book took a bit to get in inventory, but in due course, the book was located and sent on to my satisfaction; in the case of the other book, a very acceptable set of substitutes was found. Slow to deliver
I won an item and it took a month to get to me from New York to Ohio. There was much communication involved on my part. It was like "pulling teeth" to get a tracking number and an ETA of the item I won. Don't worry, Churchill, I won't be doing business with you again.

I have not received this painting
I have not received this painting. I have tried messaging the auction house through The app. I have called the gallery directly and cannot get through. I did get a call back finally and they said the item would be shipping that week, which was theee weeks ago. Last week they said they would contact me with a shipping tracking number. They did not. I cannot get anyone to follow up with this and actually walk this painting through the shipping process. I literally got a painting from Ukraine in two weeks. I have received every other item within two weeks. It has been six weeks. There is no reason for shipping to take this long. I am beginning to think they have no idea where the painting is.

This was my first time purchasing from Churchill Galleries and it was Great!
This was my first time purchasing from Churchill Galleries.... As I always do-I first read the reviews before bidding-frankly I was concerned about some of the reviews that described issues with shipping... But the 2 Chelsea Clock items were way to nice to pass on... so I rolled the dice. After the auction, I spoke with Charles... whom I found to be a great guy! Very personable and very responsive... I requested that the auction house ship my items... after i received an estimate from Live Auctioneers that almost knocked me out of my chair! When I spoke to Charles about shipping he provided me with a cost that was incredibly reasonable. I just received the clocks today and the packing was OUTSTANDING!!! They arrived in tact, as described and packed to withstand the trip. For those of you with any concerns about bidding with Churchill Galleries... forget them! I found the auction house to be very responsive, fair and auctioning GREAT Items!-Looking forward to bidding again!!! Thanks Charles and thanks for the great customer service!

Will not respond to emails
I can’t get Charles to respond via email on my shipping arrangements, though we have spoken on the phone and he said he would. I understand it takes some time after the auction, but it’s been 28 days and I can’t even get an update on if it’s going to get shipped anytime soon. I guess I keep waiting.

Your comments are false. We responded to your April 9th email twice as well as spoke to you on the phone on the 10th of April after your email enquiring about shipping out your item to your location-US Military base in Japan. We informed you that your tracking information will be forwarded to you when sent. You called a few days later and you were further informed a tracking will be provided when item is dispatched. Your purchase was on consignment and the consignor was away and now back and the item will be dispatched. We acknowledge and regret the delay. Thank you.

Please avoid this auction at all costs
I purchased this watch from them last year, and the item was never sent despite hundreds of phone calls. They made various excuses to delay shipping and eventually after 4 months or so I decided to ask for a refund. Until today there has been no refund whatsoever and they have refused to answer any call. I would consider this auction house a big red flag to purchase from.

Quite happy!
This was actually two separate auctions, but I picked up the items all at once. Having had experience with this auction house before, I now knew what to do, and with a few phone calls, all but one of my items were neatly arranged for me to pick up. One minor item, a newspaper, couldn't be located, but I was offered a book to replace it, which was entirely reasonable and satisfactory to me. So I'll be watching out for more auctions from this house. Good selection of books.

Turned out well!
An initial effort to pick up the items glitched, but a second attempt proved to be rather pleasant, as the gentleman at the auction house proved to be quite chatty and helpful. One small item didn't turn up, but a suitable substitute was found. AND there were a few books and other items I picked up at the shop while I was there. Now that I know what the drill is, I will be bidding again with this firm.

Shipping is bad with live auctionners
Do not ship with live auctionner it is very bad. They charged 127 $for shipping on a 135 $item and it took a whole month to receive. It was well package tho.
