Bid on a Gucci purse and won. The purse came over a month later and received it today. The purse is brand new. Still stiff and no marks. It’s beautiful.

Excellent Auction House

Some Nice Items
I like this auction house. they have some very nice, unique items. I still have some issues that I hope get resolved or get better. The payment process is somewhat burdensome as compared to other sites and auction houses. I know there is some conversion from US funds to Canadian funds, but the process should be more user friendly. Also, the shipping is a bit unusual. Everything is shipped out of Canada, and the tracking can be difficult at times. Not an easy process to handle. I will still continue to be active on their site, but I am hoping some improvements are forthcoming.

Trust
It's hard to find trust this days, especially when you come to an auction. When you hear a word auction, one thing comes to mind, the last guy standing, takes the prize. It's not the case when you bid at V. N. Collectibles, you can be dicarted if you are the only one bidding, you can be outbid by some goats that refused taking that item after auction ha been closed. At the end, same item keeps appearing as if there is a set price for it that auction people are the only ones that know. After a while, you start avoiding their lots...

Fraudulent Counterfeit Seller
Buyers beware! The Chanel bag from this auction was ostensibly a fake. It was shipped in a cardboard “Chanel” box with a sticker in Chinese. The script under the Chanel logo on the box reads: “substances are known to be carcinogenic in humans.” When I first reached out to the auctioneer he claimed that the consignor attested to the bag’s authenticity. Really? The leather was coarse and the package was flagrantly fake. The seller tried to further insult my intelligence saying that some Chanel’s packaging are made in China! In addition, the shipping service the seller recommended was none other than himself. Hence the item was shipped in-house, yet I was charged a pick-up fee. I’d paid over $100 for shipping of a “fully insured” counterfeit. Trying to get a refund was like pulling teeth. I regretted paying via Zelle for both the item and shipping. Getting a refund was like pulling teeth. It’s rather suspicious that a business owner’s Zelle limit was only $500/day. I also requested a refund for the original shipping cost, and this seller’s reply was to “contact the shipping department”! Another shady facade, since I’d remitted the shipping payment to the same name as the seller. Presently this seller is not responding to my shipping refund request. The worst part of all this was my Time wasted. I highly recommend all buyers paying via Zelle only to trusted auction houses (with whom you’ve done business). I now have no recourse but to report this seller to the WA state Attorney General’s office, since knowingly selling a fake is a crime on both federal and state level. Again, beware!

We are sorry, but you are not correct. Our main rule is that the customer is always right. 1. According to the explanation provided by the consignor, the sold item is original. However, we chose not to enter into a dispute with the buyer, and the return was approved immediately. 2. Did you receive a full refund for the item you won? Yes. All funds were returned the day after the item was sent back. This was done despite the fact that the description clearly stated that the item was sold as-is with no returns. 3. Unexpectedly, the buyer then demanded, in an ultimatum form, a full refund of the shipping costs paid to the shipping company. We were prepared to discuss this matter with the shipper as well. However, it turned out that the buyer was not actually interested in resolving the issue — the intention was simply to cause trouble for the auction house. Only three hours (not three days) after making this ultimatum, the buyer posted a negative feedback. 4. We would like to recommend that other auction houses refrain from doing business with this buyer.

My item arrived in good condition and looked very similar to the online photos (shipping was arranged through a third party provided by the auctioneer and was fairly reasonable). Everyone was very responsive. While I do think a lot of their valuations are too high, there are still some great deals to be had. I'll be confident purchasing through them again and would overall recommend.

A Bit Frustrating
These items were the second time I made a purchase from VN. The items are great, and the descriptions are spot on. The take the time to be exact when bidding. I have zero issues on the items they sell. I'm still a bit wary of the payment process and shipping. There is no autopay via credit card. I only pay by credit card. You have to print an authorization and print your payment info and then send it to them.... OK.. a bit odd for an auction house. The shipping is my only concern. They list the auction house in the US but everything comes out of Canada so the shipping is always International. My items were 4 pieces of paper maybe weighing 4 ounces. My shipping quotes were $102 US or $42 US. I have friends who own UPS stores, etc. and they say that is a red flag. I wound up paying the $42 and I received my documents in a small bubble envelope. It was very well packed and sturdy for what I needed. Also, they only communicate via e-mail... no phone number which is odd. Nonetheless, the items are great but the international shipping cost and the lack of speaking to a live person sends up a red flag for me. I hope they improve the process moving forward.
