Very difficult to work with this German Auction House. Still waiting for replies and artwork.

They had an item listed for auction. They had me pending approval for weeks up until day before auction despite several messages inquiring what the holdup was. No response. Then auction day came. I won item and they were supposed to invoice within 3 days. Ten days went by, again not responding to messages. I had to have live auctioneers step in and finally they auctioned two weeks later. Then the invoice said no credit cards. Wise or PayPal. I chose PayPal and they had me pay their PayPal fee. Now it's 10 days since payment received and no notification of shipment. I've messaged them yet again and no response. I didn't mention the exorbitant shipping fee they're charging.

Seems winning a bid doesn't trigger any sale process. "live" auctions have just gone "dead". Curious way to run a business

All my items were just as described

My experience is not so good as can be... At first-the auction was 16 April in Berlin (Germany) and my won artwork I got today (16 May) to my address in czech republic (distance just 500 km) When I was biding at USA I got artwork faster! And when I buy some books at german ebay, I get them until ten days. Second problem was price of shiping. I apologize, but they wanted to pay from me 60 €for shipping one page of etching (value 600 €and size of paper was 56x45cm) They told me, that price is depent on type of packaging (they wanted to send in non roll) and this is why I should pay 60 ��?! My last package from another german art seller was more expensive, biger and heavier (was 2, 8 kg) and I was pay just 18 €for shipping! After comunication I agreed shipping in roll for 30 €(for me still to much but better then 60 ��)

We have worked with many auction houses, most all are a smooth process, even if it is International. Historia was not user-friendly, a difficult process. It does not "lead you through the payment and delivery process"; it took days to figure out how to not only pay for the item, but how to have the item shipped to us. The shipping costs PLUS extra fees were double the cost of the item itself. We tried to cancel the order due to the high shipping and extra fee costs, but there was no option to cancel. Correspondence was "general" and not helpful.

After selling the product, the auction takes care of delivering the product to the buyer. The product is carefully packed and sent to the buyer. The product is delivered quickly and responsibly. Great, I will definitely be participating in the Historia Auctionata auctions

I am satisfied...

After several emails after making the payment got the run around from the auction house for a few weeks. They claim that the item was in high demand and was not available, yet I was the winner of the item. Several emails to the auction house nad every time I emailed they claimed they did not know. Sounds more like they didn't get the price they wanted for it and failed to adhere to the sale of the item. I would be careful win bidding with this auction house.

Once again-bidding, payment, shipping, everything is in place. Before I ask a question it is taken care of.

I WENT OUT OF MY WAY TO TELL THEM HOW TO SHIP THE CLOCK, SINCE IT WAS COMING FROM EUROPE AND HAD TO GO THROUGH CUSTOMS. I STATED "NO PEANUTES" AND USE LARGE BUBBLE WRAP. THEY USED SMALL BUBBLE WRAP AND PLENTY OF PEANUTS THAT CAN CAUSE JIGGLE AND BREAKAGE. THE CLOCK ARRIVED WITH HANDS OFF AND CHIME NOT WORKING AS THEY STUFFED PAPER INTO CLOCK, JAMMIING THE MECHANISM. AS TO ACCURACY, IT WAS NOT A CUBE, AS ALL DIMENSIONS WERE NOT SQUARE.

Purchasers should be aware that engaging in transactions with this particular auction house carries inherent risks. Regrettably, we experienced an unfortunate incident when acquiring a collection of busts through their auction. Upon delivery, one of the busts arrived in a damaged condition, prompting us to promptly notify Historia Auctionata, the auction house in question. Surprisingly, their response suggested that the damage could be rectified by a simple application of glue, disregarding the fact that professional expertise is required for the intricate repair process. Furthermore, they failed to extend any form of assistance or offer to initiate a claim on our behalf. Consequently, we have unequivocally resolved to refrain from further engaging with this auction house in any future transactions.

US buyers are subject to VAT. Credit card payments have an additional fee. In the end, I used PayPal (which is not my preference). Other than that, I am pleased with my purchase. I attended the auction in real time on line. I was the only bidder for this item. I noticed that other items had no bidders and the asking price was reduced. I think I might have been able to acquire the item for less.

The invoice took some time, the shipping notice took some time as well. The actual shipping was very quick and item was packaged well. Overall it was a positive experience and I look forward to their future auctions.

I bid on a beautiful brooch at this auction house, the starting bid was almost the same as the lowest estimated price but that was ok for me as I liked the item. I did win the brooch but between the house commission and the very high VAT on everything as below 22, 69 % Commission: 19, 00 % VAT on commission: 5, 00 % commission for Live bidding online: 19, 00 % plus VAT for this commission: 19, 00 % VAT on shipping costs I ended up paying almost double the price for my item. Am not happy and regret buying from them and would advice that no one outside Germany use that auction house because quite frankly I ended up at a huge loss
