Very smooth transaction. Good communications. Fast invoice. Item is just as described. The only issue I had was post auction-shipping. The auction house provides a list of shippers each of whom I contacted. I got wildly varying estimates from $4000 (Yes. $4000 and to be fair it was a rage of shipping costs between $3000 and $4000.) to the one that I accepted $240 all inclusive shipping and handling. If I were to bid again with this auction house, I would definitely get shipping quotes before bidding. Beside that, it was a smooth transaction. Thank you!

Very helpful auction staffs

There was a single photo published of two french allegedly giltwood chairs. I contacted the auctioneer to ask about any issues with the chairs and was told they just had minor stains. That was fine as they would be reupholstered anyway. I asked my mom's assistant to go and pick them up and pay for them. She called me and sent pictures of multiple areas where the wood had split apart, had decorations broken off and worst of all, was certainly not gilt wood but rather a dull, poorly and DIY home amateur paint job with a dull goldish color. She asked if I was sure that I wanted the chairs not having previously seen any of these pictures? I said absolutely not. They proceeded to open a dispute against me and despite having bought more than dozens of items over fhe past few months with never an issue, they got me blocked by Freeman/Hindman Auctions which was the whole reason I joined Liveauctioneers-To be notified when a mid century artist Glenna Finch that they've sold before has a painting available for sale again.
