I had a great experience with the whole process. I was particularly impressed and grateful for their providing extra information after the sale On the provenance of the lot.

Not helpful

The payment and shipping went easily. The photos of the item were good so I was able to make a wise selection. Looking forward to doing business again in the future.

I asked for a condition report and got no response. It took 3 separate emails to get the link to pay by credit card. The invoice for shipping they said they emailed me was never received.

I purchased this regency tea caddy based on the listing and the photos, I have not purchased at on line auctions before and so I trusted the description and photos to make my successful bid. The listing photo showed it to be in very good condition but showed none of the damaged areas. The description did not mention any damage. I paid a large sum for the tea caddy and when it arrived, there was extensive damage to the rear and sides (not shown in the listing) with the hinges broken out, big chips of faux tortoise missing in many areas cracked and overall it was in a very poor state of repair. I contacted kinghams and told them about how disappointed I was in its condition. Their response that I should have contacted them prior to bidding to ask it’s condition and they would do nothing but the most annoying part of their response was that they finished their email saying they hoped I would enjoy my tea caddy! A very sarcastic response when someone tells them that they had bought something based on Photos and description that never mentioned damage and it arrived extremely damaged. How could you possibly enjoy it? I will never ever purchase another item from Kingham auctions I feel strongly that online auctions should have a full listing of their condition and photos showing the damage not just a photo showing the best part. This is misleading false representation and causes people to be a much higher price than they would if they understood the true condition of an item.

Bought a nice clock, but when received the case was broken in three areas and the porcelain dial was broken into 7-8 pieces and the movement has been jostled around inside the case. Was not packed for shipment very well. Will be very costly to repair. Raised issue with pictures with Kinghams. Did not respond back at all.
