I never received the item.
I never received the item. The status showed it was delivered by FedEx, but when I tracked it, they kept passing the buck. Ultimately, I don't know where the package was delivered or where it disappeared to. That's it. I'm done. I would never dare buy or use shipping services through this auction house again.

Hello. We’re sorry to hear that you experienced problems with your shipment. To clarify the circumstances, Ma San Auction did not pack or ship your order in-house. The packing and shipping were arranged through the third-party shipping company you selected, so we do not have direct control over the shipment or the FedEx service used. After seeing your review, we contacted the shipping company, who confirmed that the FedEx records show the parcel was delivered and signed for at the given delivery address. The 2 lots were purchased in our 27 November 2025 auction and show as delivered via FedEx on 3 December 2025. We have no record of you contacting us about this issue before posting this review, despite the delivery taking place approximately seven months ago. Had you contacted us, we would have been happy to assist you much sooner in investigating the matter with the shipping company and FedEx. Your delivery address given is a logistics and freight forwarding service provider here in the UK. I have tried to make contact with them via telephone but they have not answered. We will continue to attempt to make contact with them on your behalf as it would be useful to find out if the signee noted on the proof of delivery is a known staff member at their facility. While we fully understand your frustration, the information available to us indicates that the shipment was delivered, and we do not believe this review accurately reflects the services provided by us at Ma San Auction. GRADE F! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
AVOID AT ALL COSTS! If I could give 0 stars, I would! Ma San is a disreputable auction house that sold me a Chinese Horse & Rider statue that was supposedly 965 years old (according to a TL Report provided by Ma San). I’ve had the piece appraised by both a professional art historian in Delaware and a world-renowned Chinese art dealer in Massachusetts, and both said the piece is a bad fake. Not only are the markings on the terracotta clay inside the horse inconsistent with erosion and fingerprints on real, 965-year-old Chinese figures, but the horse’s stance is inconsistent with figures made during that period (i. e., none have head down and swaying to side) and the sculpting itself is wrong (i. e., the musculature in the horse’s legs are excessive and there’s a giant crease in the rear). Also, none have riders like the one Ma San's has. Plus, the dating on the TL Report Ma San Auction provided is completely wrong. It says the piece is Tang and 965 years old. However, 965 years ago is about 1060 AD, which is 100 years AFTER the Tang Dynasty ended in 907 AD.

Dear , We have been in full contact with you by email regarding this matter-it is unreasonable to say we have refused to respond as we have in fact responded to every email you have sent. As detailed in the email we sent you-We sold a private collection of early Chinese ceramics in our February 2023 sale. Majority of the items were authentic and were fully described as authentic in the sale catalogue. The item that you won-We did not date this item in the catalogue. It was described as ‘ A large Chinese painted pottery horse with a female rider, with TL test ’. We are completely transparent in the sale descriptions of items which come to us to be sold. In this sale there were 88 lots from the single owner which were acquired around the late 1990s and early 2000s. We were instructed to clear the contents of the house and the items are sold as found and described to the best of our ability. We have offered for you to have the item re-TL tested at our cost but you have not agreed. We sell both authentic and decorative items through our sale room and advise everything to read our descriptions and contact us if you may have any questions regarding age and authenticity. A very dependable Auction House.
Ma San Auction House sent my winning item and it reached the US on Nov. 29, 2021. For almost a whole week, my local post office did not inform me of its arrival. Luckily for me, on Friday, Dec. 3, Ma San sent me an email notifying me that the package had arrived on Nov 29. That's why I came and got my package on Monday, Dec. 6.
