ZERO customer service
I contacted versailes within an hour of winning the auction through the liveauction site. I received a response with a phone number to arrange shipping, after 30 days and well over 30 emails, phone messages I received no response whatsoever from versailes. The only contact was the two additional times I went through liveauctions website, both time they said they would call me that day. Both times they lied, thanks to the folks at liveauctions seeing I was having problems with versailes they contacted me and arranged the shipping. In 50 years and thousands of auction purchases I have never run into any business with less customer service than versailes. Interestingly, they did send me a spam email trying to get me to purchase some of their excess inventory before they move. If they were giving away gold bullion, I would look elsewhere to avoid the frustration and would recommend you do the same.

Damaged goods
Auction charged for shipping on invoice. Artwork arrived with broken glass. Auction says too bad … no compensation for damage. Item was sent ups which has a minimum coverage for damage. Auction refuses to assist as the shipper. I’ll never shop with them again.

Pay attention to additional taxes
Attention they declared to the customs the value of estimate is almost double of what I paid (if it had been the real value there would have been people who would have outbid up to this value which was not the case) which means that at the rate of 20 % of VAT and 8 % of customs duties I paid in addition in tax half of the value of the carpet. Next time I’ll think about it before I bid

Well presented photo and description.
A very nice vase and in great condition for its age. Very quick delivery, especially considering it traveled from Europe to the USA. Recommended auction house.
