Ararity's May Decorative Arts Auction
Our May Decorative Arts Auction features an eclectic selection of property sourced from estates throughout Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, D.C. Highlights include an original WWII Flying Tigers theater-made silk banner, as well as a Vietnam-era helicopter pilot group within the military category. The sale also offers a diverse assortment of antique and contemporary furniture, paintings, prints, and art glass. Featured among the decorative arts is a collection of high-end contemporary lighting from a Potomac, Maryland estate. An original working 1940s neon soda fountain window sign is an interesting item of note. Also included is a substantial collection of Chinese furniture and artwork.

Pictures at an Alexandria Exhibition Ararity Auctions is proud to partner with Del Ray Artisans, the Symphony Orchestra of Northern Virginia (SONOVA), and the Symphony Orchestra League of Alexandria (SOLA) for a celebration of art, music, and community in Alexandria, Pictures at an Alexandria Exhibition. This collaboration has produced a unique, creative dialogue between visual artists and musicians—bringing sound to canvas in a truly one-of-a-kind experience. At 3pm Saturday, May 30, SONOVA will perform live at the Rachel M. Schlesinger Concert Hall and Arts Center at Northern Virginia Community College, Alexandria Campus. Tickets are available on the SONOVA website. The program includes: Grand Canyon Suite, Ferde Grofé ~ Movement 4 ~ Sunset Dances of the Knights from Sergei Prokofiev’s Romeo and Juliet Ballet Billy the Kid Suite, Aaron Copland ~ Movements 6, 7, 8: VI Celebration, VII Billy’s Death, VIII The Open Prairie Mississippi Suite, Ferde Grofé ~ Movement 3 ~ Mardi Gras At 6 pm Sunday, May 31, Ararity Auctions will conclude the online auction of works by local artists who drew their creative inspiration from these four works of music. Bids will be accepted throughout the month of May. This auction is a result of months of work by Del Ray Artisans to organize this call to artists and curate the selection of works seen here. The artwork will be featured digitally during the May 30 concert. Proceeds from the auction and gala will directly support the missions of SONOVA and Del Ray Artisans, helping to sustain live performances, community programming, and opportunities for artists across the region. Working with Nick and Ararity Auction was a smooth experience.
Nick was Excellent to work with throughout the entire process. Communication was clear, prompt, and professional from start to finish. I had a fairly unusual shipping and pickup schedule, and he went out of his way to accommodate it without any issues. Everything was handled smoothly, which made the entire experience easy and stress-free. I really appreciated the flexibility and willingness to work with my situation. Would definitely recommend and would be happy to work with him again.

Items were exactly as described. great experience
Couldn't recommend them more highly. My only issue, is that these items came in large boxes and until I asked the deliverymen to open them they didnt > They asked me to sign for receipt, and I said how can I if I can't see what's inside. So they were ver nice, and they opened them, but left all the wrapping and huge boxes and packing materials in my home. I thought they would take it with them but they said that was a different class of delivery service??? Who knew? Otherwise great experience with Ararity. I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again, and I recommend them highly.
