Dear Sir, we regret that you feel deceived as we always endeavour to work to the best of our ability and in the most transparent way. We are quite surprised that you insist on considering us responsible for a damage that was NOT present when the lot was collected. The restoration mentioned in the condition report pertained to the wicker, not to the metal frame, which was definitely not broken. This is also documented by the additional photos, available for all our clients. We wish to point out that you never requested a condition report nor the additional photos of the lot before the purchase. In the same auction, you also bought two other lots which you received to your satisfaction. They arrived in the exact conditions they were described in the reports, just like the chairs were when they left our Auction House. Furthermore, though you had asked us to recommend valid shippers, in the end you did not choose them but entrusted the lot collection to a third party. Since the lot faced a transatlantic journey with more than one stopover, how can you exclude that they were damaged along the way? Therefore, we kindly invite you to stop vilifying our work and to search elsewhere for the cause of the problem. Best regards.
