We offer in-house shipping to our customers which is ALWAYS cheaper and more convenient than self-arranged shipping. It is not cheap either, since we pay our shipping team a living wage and use highly rated packaging material as required by the insurance companies. When we ship pottery or glass-like in this case-we package and box each item individually and ship the order double boxed and fully insured. As a consequence we have very few cases where items get damaged in transit and if they do, we can usually ensure that our customers receive their money back from the insurance. We also handle the insurance cases on behalf of our customers as a free service. We are sorry that you feel that the shipping cost was excessive but we also believe that our packaging and shipping is above average and thus worth it.

We understand that customers can get frustrated if their expectations are not being met, but we also believe that a quick call upfront to learn more about a lot or a quick call after receipt of a piece to discuss measures to ensure satisfaction are much better ways of preventing and resolving any issues.
