Bloomsbury Auctions is the World's Largest Auction House for Books, Works on Paper and Visual Arts. Since its inception in 1983 we now have Auction Houses in London, Rome and New York. We hold over 60 sales per year spread over our three offices and regularly achieve world record prices for our lots. Books continue to be our life-blood and we specialise in everything from early printed press through to Ultra-Modern First Editions. The knowledge of our specialists in unsurpassed and we pride ourselves on our professional, speedy yet approachable service that ensures many of our consignors and buyers have been using our services for many years. Our Visual Arts department covers many disciplines. We have sales dedicated to Prints, Drawings and Watercolours specialising in highly decorative pieces many of are already framed and sold 'ready to hang'. Our Modern and Contemporary Prints and Modern and Contemporary Art departments continue to go from strength to strength. We regularly achieve world record prices for established and contemporary artists. Our Photographs Department features salt prints from the early dawn of photography, 19th century albumen prints through to iconic images from the 20th Century.
