I was very happy with the item price and how fast I got response about the shipping. The shipping price though was more than the price of the lamp, which was very surprising to me because I order those lamps from all over the U. S. and it doesn’t cost that much. Everything fantastic but the shipping cost.

I'm new to online auction and was very pleased with the ease of use, paying and shipping. The people at McClaren Auction Services are very polite and helpful when there are questions. I highly recommend giving them a try.

Auction went well, Notifications were sent at the appropriate time so I didn’t miss my lot. Prompt response when asking questions and the shipping was perfect-Tou could drop the box from 10k ft and it would be fine!!! Excellent House highly recommend-Great experience! ’ n

THIEVES This company kept my items and took my money!! I had a long conversation and made arrangements with a female employee there after i won the items and then the other man there totally disregarded my conversation with her! she said they could ship out the small items and they would reconsign the large item if i could not get it picked up in time no problem. they only gave 2 weeks and were totally unwilling to be kind and work with me to get a shipper booked. instead they took my money, kept my items and moved them into storage so they could sell them again. Horrible way to treat a paying customer antique dealer. and yes i was very unhappy being treated this way and reacted as such. they will gas light you and try to get you to also not acknowledge the arrangements and conversation i had with the female employee!!!

McLaren was a great auction house to buy from. They were quick in responding to questions, usually within the same day. I always have difficulty getting things shipped to me affordably because I'm in Alaska, but they recommended a good shipping service that saved me over $200 on theliveauctioneers.com price. I'd buy from them again in a heartbeat!

Amazing Koa bowl! Had an issue with shipper and solved very quickly.

The auction was fine, the packing of the items was very poor.

Fine until shipping. No quote from their shipper, Newberg, and then suddenly an invoice (eyewatering), and was treated poorly by shipper when questioning it or that. Auction house now "handling" items but telling me outside of window to find own shipper and telling me going to have my items shipped with what shipper used to pack (never approved of, 3 boxes for my 3 lots, but I never got a say or choice or option). So disappoint

they were there for me when I called them so I could pay them because live auctioneers had messed it up; they were polite and wonderful and I’m so happy and the shipping company they use is just absolutely lightning speed amazing; And very reasonably priced; I’m still in shock.

Took a bit long for billing. Then took forever for their designated shipping company to pick up the item and get it wrapped and shipped. Plus, although the item was packed very protectively, the shipping company must own stock in the wrapping tape company-so much tape was used that it made it very difficult to unpack (there is a way to securely package steins using a minimum of tape).

This was an excellent experience. They were prompt and the receptionist was helpful, polite & friendly.

I had to keep following up for weeks once the action ended. They then arranged packing and shipping for a 100 year old beautiful chandelier that showed up in pieces in a box with little to no wrapping inside the box. McLaren then told me I had to deal with the shipping company "they arranged". Horrid experience. What a waste and what a hassle.

This is the first time I've bought something from this auction house. My experience was good. Bidding process straightfoward, low house premium, and shipping the least expensive I've ever seen for an auction artwork (Just $17.42 for packing and shipping a small painting!). Packed well, and quickly shipped. I've left five stars in all categories, but do want to add one note for prospective bidders. There was just one full photo of the painting included in the listing, and it was very bright-both canvas, and frame. The actual artwork is much more muted-darker tones. I expected this because I have seen in person other pieces by this painter that look just the same, and I'm happy with what I bought. But for other bidders, if you're not familiar with the artist and there's only one bright full photo of the artwork posted in the catalogue, you might want to ask for an additional photo or two in daylight to confirm the exact appearance.

I recently visited McLaren to pick up a small lot I won. I showed up on crutches and was greeted with a smile and a joke. I was helped immediately, and my lot was found quickly due to their organization and efficiency. I was taken aback when the gentleman offered to carry my things out to the car for me (my driver was still parking after dropping me off) and when I said "Really?". He replied, "Or we could all stand in the window and watch you struggle." 🤣 😂 🤣 👍 Overall, a fantastic experience and I look forward to doing business with them again.
