Always enjoy buying from and visiting Flying Pig. They're very helpful, and on every trip to pick up things I've also purchased items I've found in their extensive collection of dealer stalls.

I've purchased from Flying Pig in person and via auction multiple times and they're a wonderful company. They know their items, their descriptions are accurate, and their inventory is always top notch. Because I live nearby, I pick my items up and pay in person and they're always happy to arrange that for me. This is a trustworthy auction house with great staff, shop here with confidence.

I looked at all the photos & was happy with what I saw. Unfortunately when I removed it from the box, I saw tiny bug holes all over the bottom side & legs as well as powdery brown dust all across the papers underneath the stool. That indicated to me that these tiny bug holes had live bugs in them. The box was sealed shut & the stool was sealed in a thick clear plastic bag — BOTH were thrown out. I went back & rechecked the photos of the stool on your web site. I enhanced & enlarged the photo of the stool’s base & saw it covered with the tiny holes!!! I’ve seen holes in wooden items before but the bugs were long gone. I don’t usually enlarge all photos I’m interested in. I think the seller & I both thought it was ok. I’d suggest that a notation be posted with the item’s condition stating that the item has bug holes in it-bugs existence is unknown. I WILL enlarge photos of any wooden item that I may bid on & if still unsure, will call & talk to the people at the auction house directly.

Flying Pig Auctions always include a variety of quality antiques, often in as-found condition, but often reflecting collectors '"deaccessioning" efforts. This one was no exception. Clearly, they have established a strong auction following, since we got outbid on five of six items!!!!
