Solid & Lightning Fast
I couldn't be more pleased with this item, which came as described, is structurally sound and is perfectly sized for my purposes. I have an antique, gold leafed, carved wooden monk from Burma that needed a low dais or platform to be placed upon. Voila! I took the measurements and knew it would work. Not only was I correct, the carved wood platform came securely and expertly packed in TWO DAYS after the auction. I'm so glad i followed my instincts and won this item-a beautiful solution for a cherished piece that's a focal point in my home.

THIS AUCTION HOUSE SELLS FAKES
CAUTION! This auction house sells counterfeit items. The items I received (old banknotes) were independently assessed to be fake-sophisticated counterfeits. Based on my experience, I would assume that their offerings across different categories also consist of fakes.

Fraud like it's nowadays
A woodblock turns out to be a cheap litho. What one could say... After stating the issue no response, money gone thru Liveauctioneers seamless paying. Wow.... This is how the auction world is working, right..

We must respond firmly and clearly. All items in our auctions are sold as-is, in accordance with our published terms and conditions. It is the responsibility of each bidder to request condition reports or photographs prior to bidding, or to inspect items in person during the preview period. This is standard practice in the auction industry and is clearly stated in our policies. Attempting to dispute the condition of a lot after winning the bid — without having made any inquiry beforehand — is unacceptable. Furthermore, the inappropriate and hostile private message you sent following the sale is entirely uncalled for and has been documented. We are reporting this behavior to Liveauctioneers for review and reserve the right to pursue further action if necessary. We take the integrity of our auctions seriously and expect all participants to abide by the rules set forth.

Packing issues
I bought some vintage (1800s) books. When the box came it looked like they pulled it out of the garbage. The books were not wrapped, they were thrown in loosely with one piece of paper to cushion them. They were not in good shape. Will not buy from them again.
