Hewlett's Antique Auctions is a family owned auction house located in the little country town of Le Grand California. Located conveniently in the center of our large state is within driving distance of both the Bay Area and Southern California. Le Grand is approximately 45 miles north of Fresno. The Hewlett story (as far as the business goes) starts in 1955 when Ernie and Cloe Hewlett started an antique business in their home, with boxcar loads of wonderful New England antiques coming into the Hewlett shop it soon grew into the barn, the outbuildings, and several buildings in town. The whole family pitched in and all 4 children learned about the hard work and joys of a family business. In the early 1980's Buster Hewlett went off to auctioneer school and Hewlett's Antique Auctions was the result. Over the years the auction business has grown to take over many of the buildings in town that were formerly used for Buster's parents antique shop. Hewlett's Auctions still has the same small town values and the same desire to give it's customers great service, yet it has grown into the 21st century with a mailing list of over 7,000 customers, a very strong commitment to advertising, a friendly professional staff, and one of the best markets for antiques in the state. You never know what you are going to find at any single auction as there may be anything from a $5.00 box lot of goodies to a wonderful Victorian Bed worth thousands. Recent auctions have seen American Indian Baskets, Victorian and Turn of the Century Oak Furniture, large selections of Pottery, General Store and Advertising Merchandise, beautiful Art Glass, Primitive Pine Furniture, Antique Guns and much more. There are usually lots of smalls mixed in with a nice selection of furniture. There will be something for everyone!
