Morphy Coin Auctions

In April of 2005 Steve Geppi, long time hobbyist and entrepreneur, acquired Morphy Auctions. The Adamstown Antique Gallery and Morphy Auctions are now a thriving division of Diamond International Galleries. Diamond International Galleries along with Dan Morphy & Tom Sage, Jr. devised an extensive worldwide media campaign targeting the most influential antique publications and renowned media venues. In addition, flyers and catalogs are strategically mailed directly to top buyers to obtain maximum exposure. They also promote the auctions at over a dozen of the top antique shows worldwide. Live Bidding takes place anywhere around the world by mail, phone, fax or internet. At the Antique Gallery, Denver, PA. items are displayed months prior to the sale where a no-pressure atmosphere exists with staffed antique experts. The 10,000 square foot facility houses over 300 collector showcases is located in Lancaster County just off the Pennsylvania Turnpike adjacent to the famed Adamstown strip- The "Antique Capital of America". Gary and Mary Pat Metz work together with Morphy Auctions as consultants after joining the team in May of 2006. Their primary functions are to gather consignments for the firm, with their specialty being in advertising, country store, soda fountain, soda pop, and Coca-Cola. Gary and Mary Pat also represent the firm at shows around the country and Gary provides catalog descriptions on much of the advertising material in each Morphy auction. And, of course, they help to staff the actual auction events at Morphy, roughly every other month. Since 1988, Gary has been a full time dealer in those categories and more. In 1991 he established his own auction firm, which operated until April of 2006. He did business under the name of Muddy River Trading Co. and later, Metz Superlatives Auction. Over 16 years in the auction business, he was based in Roanoke, Va. and held 29 catalog auctions, selling over $15,000,000.00 in merchandise for hundreds of satisfied consignors. Gary and Mary Pat Metz In 2000, his wife Mary Pat joined him full time in the business. Today they are still based in Roanoke, Va., and welcome your inquiries at any time. They are just part of the extensive Morphy Auctions Staff who are willing to travel to view and arrange transport of your items or collection for presentation in a future auction. Call them when the time comes for your items to receive the best in professional auction presentation!
