I recently purchased a beautiful (very large) oil painting that I won, online, at the "Old Red Barn Auction" and found proprietor, Ivan Popov to be extraordinary in providing help with the shipping of the painting. Not only was his suggestion of shipping service (track7ships, warwick, ny) the most reasonable/affordable, but Ivan offered to bring the painting down to "track7ships" so that it could be shipped to me, as well. I was very impressed with the items offered at the "Old Red Barn Auction", and Ivan's generous offer to go above and beyond to help with the shipping, only further supports my impression that the "Old Red Barn Auction" is a wonderful auction house and a great find for anyone who enjoys auctions. I'm looking forward to future auctions of the quality and with the support of the winning bidders, as I found offered by proprietor, Ivan Popov.

it has now been 10 days since the auction and my items still have not shipped. I paid for my items on the day of the auction

Until I joined this website I had never dealt with auction houses. I don't see the point of having an auction online and then offering lower quality shipping than most private Ebay sellers. It's not that difficult to put stuff in a premade box and haul it down to UPS to ship. I still haven't been contacted by their third party shipper to get my merchandise.

Good packaging and service

Items as described on auction sale, beautiful auction items, friendly service including shipping company and in future am looking to buy again, nice people.

I was absolutely shocked by the amount I had to pay for shipping! $100.00 +? I showed our UPS store where we do our shipping (we’ve never had anything break when they pack and ship something of ours) and they were astounded. The person at the shipping company was rude, waiting VERY impatiently as he waiting for my approval to ship the painting. Finding out the price, I paused a few seconds and he asked me nastily, “Well, do you want us to ship IT or not”. My mind was blank and being new at a third party shipper, I just said okay. I am still extremely angry about the shipping and feel you should refund me half of what I paid. (I’d get a new shipper!). I paid a fifth of the amount I paid for the painting. Your painting was the first thing I bought on LiveAuctioneer. I adore the painting but even writing this makes my stomach turn when I think about the shipping amount. FWI: thevpainting was not put in styrofoam as you told me they do. The painting was wrapped in two or three pieces of newsprint and put in a box that was stuffed with newsprint. Definitely, with the supplies to pack, their amount for labour and shipping, the shipping was a joke. You did not do this. But please get money back from your shipper. I should have had it shipped myself but as I told you, my mind went blank. I love my painting and will buy from you but I have to see what your Customer Service will do about my shipping. Thank you for your quick appoval of my bidding. My questions and exact instructions were followed implicidly. The shipping company was good too and the package although sent to an alien country arranged ship shape. But a word of caution from a significant collector... for 70 bucks American plus packing I am looking at 150 Canadian for a modest with 2 thousand bucks of figures... first in plastic bags. I ‚ Ä ô m still OK but I least fold wrap the bubble between the items... because if the may get a shipping squeeze or boot everything is good. I can send you some super damage pictures with proper inside packing and no damage. After wrap... the # 1 rule of shipping higher end collecting items is to shake the package... if movement, re-pack. This could have be in a Cuban samba band. For the shipper... you did every thing good, every thing arrived good but just an FYI on packing.

The auction house was great. The shipper that is used is very expensive. It shouldn’t cost $26 dollars to mail something that weighs 1.6 lbs from NY to Michigan.
