Major lag-time on high dollar bids, way to slow on dropping the hammer
I have participated in a ton of auction over my 18 years of collecting gas and oil signs. I have never seen such a slow lag-time on high dollar signs before the hammer drops. The auctioneer was in the middle of a bids and would go off on a tangent of telling stories about nothing to do with the items, it was so clear they were dragging the hammer out for more dollars. I understand that sometimes there is a delay with the internet, but this was not the case. This was so tacky and unprofessional, I left the site. I won't be returning to Holler and Hammer.

We appreciate your feedback but that day in particular we 100 % had hiccups with live auctioneers through our own bidding platform. There's no if ands or buts when simulcasting there'll be lag and internet interruptions when 3 bidding platforms are syncing to one screen. With that being said, I also have been buying/selling/collecting/going to auctions my entire life and 100 % understand auction etiquette. We ran through and averaged 84 lots an hour that auction and I can 100 % guarantee I never once dropped bids on neons from 100 to 50 to 25 (even asked all our staff to confirm)-perhaps dropped from 250 to 100 to an inhouse bidder, yes, as my job is to maximize the hammer for our consignor. Appreciate the feedback and sorry you had a horrible experience! We absolutely bust our behinds on giving a great experience in house and online and can only apologize for your poor experience! Jared

Very easy to work with and very helpful
I bought a vintage comic rack. They were very helpful and responsive. It was easier and cheaper to ship my item using an outside delivery guy. Holler and Hammer suggested the delivery guy and they handled the logistics for shipping the rack to me. They wrapped the rack so it was safe when it was shipped to me. I’d gladly work with Holler and Hammer again. Hopefully I can find another item to buy from them in the future. Thanks!

Holler and Hammer are GREAT
Holler and Hammer is the absolute best auction company I've dealt with. I purchased a sign from a different auction company a few months back. It took 6 weeks to get the sign, and it was damaged, because it was literally taped between 2 pieces of cardboard. I have purchased from Holler and Hammer on 2 of their auctions. Both times I was contacted via phone call when they had signs packed up and ready to ship. Both times the estimated shipping costs were almost spot on. Both signs were packaged properly in foam board and shipped out in a very timely manner. I will continue to do business with Holler and Hammer!
