I was overjoyed just to find these etchings of Pope Pius VII! I have been collecting memorabilia about him for the past year, in hopes that he will be canonized. I was amazed at the quality of the pieces! The packing and shipping were superb, and the whole process was seemless. It was wonderful to know you and I hope to return.

Very easy transaction & shipping to NY, USA

Buying from Britannica Auctions Ltd, the payment system was easy and the in house shipping allowed me to get my items quickly and safely regardless of the fact they had to export them to the USA. International buyers should feel safe that they will get what they paid for.

Our experience with this auction house was excellent. They responded knowledgeably to questions and were efficient and helpful in every other way.

I have purchased many prints over the year. This clearly was the worst experience I had on online auctions. They have nice prints on offer, but the entire process of shipping them timely, communicating with buyers after fast payment was poor, delayed, full of false promises, leading all the way to poor packaging which led to folds in the print that I had to fix myself. First I had to threaten them with action as it took them several weeks to even send the package. After I send them (via this channel) photos of the damaged item they first prevaricated and denied, then stated that it was an exception, then in the end offered to take it back in case that my own repair was not successful. While the latter is ok, it was all an unnecessary waste of my time. I will never go back to them and do not recommend this auction house to anybody, however nice their items might be.

I purchased some egyptian prints and I love them. They are even better in real life than I thought they would be. The auction house was really quick and friendly in answering a question I had. Overall it was a great experience and would definitely purchase again from them.

I am a regular bidder at auction houses all over Europe and the United States and I've never had such a terrible experience. I won multiple items from two separate auctions by Britannica Auctions Ltd. and nothing was ever shipped to me. items were won on April 16, 2024 and as of today (Sept 23, '24) Britannica has stopped communicating with me. I have been asking for MONTHS with DOZENS of emails to please send tracking information so that I might be able to locate my missing items and they have never provided me with any tracking information, nor can they give me any indication as to the location of my items. I have been in communication with Liveauctioneers to no avail. Back in August I was told by Britannica that they would "either send me tracking information or they would refund the purchase price for my articles" nothing, nearly a month later and no reply, no tracking info, no items received and no refund. This is the second auction with Britannica that has not arrived. BUYER BEWARE!!!

Bidding for the first time with a foreign auction house, comes with certain amount of trepidation. However, Britannica was great with quick responses to inquiries and gave detailed information when required. It helped that their photo displays were excellent as was their Lot descriptions. Payment was simple with direct wire-transfer and shipping was surprising quick by Royal Mail. Highly recommend-look forward to their future auctions.

An amazing experience with this auction house, I buy from all over the world from auction houses, and they has been NUMBER ONE! Fast and cheaper than usual posting, perfect comunication, they helped me in MANY ways and in the BEST way!! I had some problems for the parcel and they helped me and solved them all.
