I bid on a lot in this auction thinking that if I won it, I might be inclined to drive up to Sparks to pick it up. I won, and am glad that I did make the drive (about 7 hrs). When I got there he had the picture very securely boxed up and ready to ship if I didn't pick it up. The hall was filled with a mixture of lots from the recent auction, as well as some stuff coming in for their next auction, and I was impressed. There were some very interesting items coming up that I will definitely keep an eye on, and I got to chat with the auctioneer who was friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful. They are a welcome addition to the regional auction scene. The picture I won was actually nicer than I had hoped or expected. A photograph of anything behind glass can seldom do it justice, so I was thrilled when I opened the box and saw it in person.
