Owners Jack and Rosie DeStories have served individuals and estates in the since 1988, handling over $50,000,000 of antiques and fine art and serving over 12,000 consignors. In May 2008, they achieved an astonishing $2,185,000 for a Tlingit warrior's helmet- the highest price ever achieved for an antique in New England. They also garnered national headlines in 2009 with the sale of a Sheldon Peck portrait for $241,000 and in 2005 with the sale of the Michael Martucci collection of Tiffany glass which grossed over $350,000. In 2004 the sale of a centaur weathervane for $253,000 (then, the third highest price for a weathervane) helped establish Fairfield Auction as a leader in the industry.
