Glass Chandeliers

Synonymous with luxury, opulence and grandeur, chandeliers have been a status symbol for thousands of years. The first chandeliers were created in the 15th century during the Medieval period as decorative ceiling-mounted lights. More complex chandeliers continued to develop through the 18th and 19th centuries, and today, they have found their place in contemporary homes. Usually, chandeliers are made out of a wide variety of mediums, including wood, brass, bronze, wrought iron, French-cut glass and Venetian Murano crystal. Whether classic or modern, chandeliers have a strong, timeless appeal. Antique crystal chandeliers look best when paired with other shades of tinted glass and varnished wooden surfaces. Consider putting them sparingly alongside mid-century modern furniture and clean li
